Dang, didn't see aucoin was gone.

Salvador is a fine player too. I just liked Aucoin, more than salvador, due to his time with the Canucks. Salvador is way way better than Allen, so I would much prefer him to other D available.

Right ,did Montreal make him any offer? or an offer for more than 1.2?

He was in paper few days ago ,that wasn't how he was talking about Montreal .

I don't see why we have people complaining about us paying Prust 2.5m to be a 3rd liner, we're paying Gomez 7.3m to do less.

I edited my post for factual reasons. He woulnd't even look for another offer than the one he got from the Sens.

Habs now need a top 6 forward with size: Mueller, Jagr are two options still available.

This potential signing could solve our line two woes. Let's hope it happens.

Btw, How do the Flyers have enough cap space to offer a ton of money to both and Suter?

Basically matched Gomez's offensive output and then some for half the price as well as getting more physical. Boom.

I'm ecstatic!!!!!!!!!! Yeah we overpayed a bit for Prust, but I don't give a damn. I always liked what he brings. Love the direction we are taking. We now employ players with character, grit and good leaders. Now, if by miracle we could get Doan, i'll cry of joy. He's the guy I want in the top 6.

Good point. Armstrong, if healthy, could be cheap.

I'd actually be really happy if Detroit got both. I've always loved Detroit.

This.. My Cousin & Uncle (That live in MTL) have been long time red-wings fans. No bandwaggon, they don't even like the habs. So needless to say Wings are my 2nd fave team. Good & Great news

Methot is a solid #3 guy and Sens lost Kuba, so they needed another top 4 defenseman.

If we could only get Parise to sign for 8 years.
Could you imagine Galchenyuk and Parise in a couple years.
