Still uneasy about it from Semin's own mercurial performances to Ruff's relationships with non-homegrown scoring talent over the years.

Yes, what I gather is that against what we'd all assume, he became one of Hunter's go-to, trusted guys and they had a very solid relationship in their short time

Why did they bench him in the playoffs for extended stretches when they had leads then?

That sound you hear is TSN's panel backing the bus up over Semin.

TSN just absolutely ripped Semin apart with comments like no character, coach killer, will be banished to somewhere like Columbus, needs strong cast around him.

I don't think a bunch of talking heads' 20 second banter is going to have any impact on anything

Which is weird because as long as it isn't 5-6 years I wouldn't mind it.

TBN and WGR would skewer him too.

WGR apparently gets every bit of information directly from TSN broadcasts and twitters so I would expect nothing less

I wouldn't be surprised if they have a tab open to HF and are quoting posters.

Semin is a great player when he want to. And to be honest, i hope that he is more of a plan D than B !!!

Who would be Plan B and C? There is only one winger better than Semin in free agency and the Sabres have an extremely minimal chance of having the privilege of paying him massive money for A MINIMUM OF 12 YEARS.

Alexander Semin, from the looks of things I've seen today, is well likely to end up a bargain of a contract, which isn't bad for a guy who would absolutely make us a better team. Sounds like a worthwhile Plan B to me.
