Where does Toots really fit in the Wings top 12? Here he got some 3rd line time. I'm not seeing a slot there for him in a similar role right now.

I highly doubt Suter is better friends with Tootoo than he is with Weber. If Suter goes to Detroit it will be because he likes the offer and the situation better, not because of a fourth line grinder who plays like a decent third liner sometimes.

My brother messaged me about this and I didn't believe him. Now I see it's true. I didn't care about losing him, it's the fact he's going to the wings. He must've really been pissed about losing his toi with us. Oh well. I'll miss his personality, but not his actually play on the ice, which is what really matters.

Tootoo, was a sucker to play against. Will improve our bottom 6...Sad to see him leave Nashville.

Was Tootoo and Suter friends?

Very EASY...He will replace Hudler, who wants $3-4 per...He will also replace Cleary on the 3rd line b/c he is a POS who cant play hockey anymore...He will also fill in on the 4th line w Abs and him bruising it up... lots of scenarios for him

So what will we lose with him gone? A huge shot with no aim at all and a bunch of penalty minutes. I haven't thought he had contributed much in the last couple of seasons, his 30 pts this season not withstanding. Of course the crowd will miss the enforcer role he had but I'm sure there is another one out there just like him.

He isn't truly a third line player and he's redundant on the Wings 4th line. The best thing is after years of Wings fans telling us how Tootoo doesn't belong in the league, I get to watch the tune from Detroit suddenly change.

So what, people were sad when Hordichuk and his card tricks left.
He'll make himself stand out in his first game by being silly then fade back into obscurity.
Also I'm glad I can get my old roller hockey number back in NHL13.

This is kinda great - it's like we get a free 2 minute powerplay every time we play Detroit for the next 3 years.

I am happy he is gone, but lets not forget he was a valuble piece for us. He did some nice things on the ice for us, he was very very very good for us in the community and was the mst marketable guy this franchise ha had so far. There are better on ice options for us now, but to trash the guy and act like he has been a bum and is still a bum is laughable. I really thought more of us as a fanbase than to act like a jealous ex that just got dumped.

There is already a Tootoo gamer for sale mentioning his departure to the Wings as part of why he's unloading it. LOL

Completely agree. Also, I think that Babcock will use him well. I think this one is going to hurt us more than it looks on the surface. With a well-defined role, I think Tootoo can be a real positive for a team.

Credit to him, too, he didn't have to post anything on twitter to the fans, but he did.

I'll miss him cause I liked him, but I've got to be honest, i'm not terribly afraid of him coming back to bite us.

He's no longer a very effective player.

Ever since the Robidas incident, he was never the same s#!t-stirrer he was before

will be interesting to see if his donning of a different jersey will get him more latitude with the refs...

By signing Tootoo, Detroit got worse and Nashville got better. He may play the Preds 6 times a year, not 40. My guess is a seat in the press box for 20 games this year.

Didn't see it coming either. Seems like a jab at us. I wish him the best, but I have a feeling that he'll be traded.
