well at least we got some swagger back in the locker room... i'm getting tired of the blank apathetic looks from Marleau, the disappointed look from Jumbo/Pavs, and the "I'm playing with a bunch of gutless softies and there's not a damn thing I can do about it" looks from Boyle

Burish actually sounds excited to play hockey, which was completely missing last season when everyone on the team either was just sloppy or seemed defeated once they got into a slump... there was a very negative vibe it seemed from the locker room as a whole

Awesome! Welcome to the club man, loving the attitude. He's been a Shark for a matter of hours and he's already got some prime quotes out there!

i'm ok with this deal, clearly a role player for us. not sure what this means for Winnik, Mitchel and other UFAs forwards re-signing (they probably won't). i still think we need a couple of good 3rd liners that can score 40 and 60 points respectively to win the cup.

I just looked up Adam Burish online. Wikipedia already says he plays for the sharks. Damm they are fast.

Yeah, that was changed like 5 minutes after he signed.

I also learned why DW signed him. He won a cup with the hawks so obviously DW had to have him

Yep, and there's already quotes from DW out there saying, effectively, that Winnik won't be back.

“Hopefully I can get in there and give him a little excitement, too, and let him know from an outsider coming in, you are one of the best players in the league and forget all those writers and media people who are bothering you. I’m going to help you win the Stanley Cup because you deserve it. That’s kind of the attitude I want to bring in to those plaers who have been there a long time and won everything but a Stanley cup.”

Makes me feel better about the signing - that he actually came out and said this. Hopefully he thinks its ******** like many of us sharks fans do.
Really? Nothing about defending Marleau?

Ok I like agitators and think they do provide some value sometimes.... but I'm not sure about Burish. We already have a world class A-hole in Galiardi who cannot do much other than talk. Do we really want a bunch of guys who talk too much **** and can't throw down to save their lives?

Burish hustles. Not big on skill... but definitely an energy guy. I'm sure he'll "walk the walk" as much as his abilities allow.

I hear he likes to be first in everything.

Does this work?

Wingles (RH shot) - Thornton - Jagr
Marleau - Couture - Havlat
Clowe - Pavelski - Sheppard
Galiardi - Desjardins - Burish
Winchester - Handzus -

Thornton and Jagr both need the puck on their stick to play their way. If you swap Jagr with Havlat, it could work.

Jagr's not signing here anyways. He wants the money, fame, bright lights, big cities aka stuff we can't offer.

Handzus will either be in the lineup or not be on the team next year. He won't be in the press box at that price tag.
