I'm told Devils made "a very competitive offer" to Parise. Question is how much would be left in budget beyond that for other players.

Parise 7
Brodeur 3
Pyatt 1.5

Call it a off-season

Me too. Tallinder this year in the regular season was as bad as Tallinder under Maclean. I hated him more in the beginning of 10/11 than I did Boulton this last year here.

He was great in the Finals though.

I like Tally for sure. I just think he's the odd man out.

If Lou told him this, we have mo idea what Lou considers 'competitive'

And that doesn't even include Urbom who is very close to NHL ready, Gelinas who is getting there, or Merrill who is a longshot out of prospect camp.

I have a weird feeling that two of Volchenkov, Tallinder, and Salvador will be here on opening night.

Don't tease me TG lol...but that would make me feel better about our chances, although even a 10-80 (which I'd define as 'competitive') isn't going to touch a 10-100 that the Flyers and Wild supposedly have up. If it's competitive with the real threats in Detroit and Pittsburgh though then it might not matter. Unless Pittsburgh offers an insane number of years, they can't go beyond 8 million per year, they are not giving him more than Crosby.

Maybe Zach's camp gave TG the 'competitive' quote, who knows.

That's because two of them are signed. Sal likely isn't coming back

I said St.Louis or Vancouver, nice. And yeah, can`t wait either. Wideman type of contract I guess. haha

I was wondering how does he fit in, then Rome signed with the Stars. lol

I second this. Salo for two years (despite his injury problems) at 3.75 per looks better compared to that.
