No one can literally replace Suter. The best we can do is sign a decent dman to throw in the mix and see what sticks. Garrison is a decent dman and was only an example. The longer Suter waits, the more dmen will be off the board.

Also, JBo is garbage.

I'd love to have them both and Parise, but if Suter dicks around for more than another 24 hrs then Poile needs to find a replacement, and if Weber won't commit after getting a monster deal, then call Holmgren and see if Couturier and one of Mezaros or Coburn can be had for Weber...
Exactly. The time has come to either commit or move on. If he's not gonna stay other arrangements need to be made. The clock is ticking

I truly think we could be on the verge of the biggest re-tooling in the franchise history.

If Suter bolts, and Weber won't commit to an extension, can you imagine if Poile can get the reported multiple top 6 + top 4D + picks from Philly for Weber? And if we could get JBo for a song from Calgary?

Would certainly break the mold around here...

Boyes has plummeted statistically the past three seasons. He would have been a reclamation project if he came this way.

apparently according to Mackenzie Parise's teams are: MIN, DET, PHI, PIT as well as a return to NJ.

also being reported that Carle won't be signed until Suter does(which is apparently expected tomorrow)... Carle is the consolation prize

I think Boyes in Long Island with a chance to play with Tavares is much better than Boyes in Nashville trying to reclaim his past scoring heights with Legwand or Fisher.

Now people are ok with Poile being decisive with Suter? Too bad he didn't feel that way last offseason when we could get something for him. At least he seems like he is learning his lesson in regards to Weber

the retrospectoscope says that keeping Suter last year was a good move because we seemed to have a legit shot at a deep run....

you must remember that dumping Suter last summer would have almost certainly cost us Weber as well, and I don't know of anyone who seriously was suggesting we trade them both last summer...

but now its becoming apparent that Suter was lying when all he said he was waiting on was to make sure we were going to be competitive, and if Weber won't commit to a huge offer then I think he is lying about his wanting to stay as well...Poile has called their bluff and now they will have to put up or shut up

No Suter, Weber or Parise / Jokinen / Doan. Any two of them and we're easily at the floor after signing RFAs.

Huh? Last off season, he "decided" to keep Suter because it was the right move at the time. Just because you disagree with it, doesn't make it wrong. It's possible you could be wrong (gasp!)

I have a feeling we're going to make either Matt Carle or Carlo Coliacovo very rich.

With Pittsburgh apparently not making an offer to Sutes and trading Z, I bet they pay Carle.
