Not true now.....

If Vancouver wins one of their last two games it is over....

If Edmonton even gets 1 point in their last 2 games it is over....

If LA doesn't win all 3 of their remaining games it is over....

That is alot to depend on...

Yeah, but its not impossible. If I had to pick the biggest longshot its the Kings winning. But its possible.

Well tomorrow will be the day of reckoning. Because all 3 teams play.....and there is a very good chance that at least one of these things will happen.....

1 point (or more) for Edmonton

2 points for Vancouver

less than 2 points for LA.

No....Vancouver has only 90 points right now......they would have to get 2 points to eliminate LA.....because if the Kings win their last 3 they would also have 91 points and would have more wins than Vancouver so they would get the tiebreaker.

Can't they afford to get one more point?

Edit: Sponge beat me to it.

It'll be tough, no question.

However, I do think that the Sharks will win tomorrow and I do think that the Ducks will win tomorrow.

And I HOPE the Kings do, as well.

However, there is just as good of a chance that..

Edmonton loses to the Ducks..

Vancouver gets 1 or less to the Sharks.

Not as possible as the other two but still possible:

The Kings beating Phoenix.

Its a longshot, but there is no sense in NOT cheering for them, right?

I am not saying you can't cheer for them.....

I am just saying their is a very good chance that the outcome in Phoenix might be a moot point. Because the Kings fate will probably be decided on Oiler or Shark ice tomorrow.

I will say this though....if Edmonton does get a point tomorrow I hope the Kings lose their remaining 3 because (in my opinion) finishing in 13th/14th place will hurt this team more than finishing in 11th/12th place.

Sorry, Osprey...but we don't have the benefit of being a double agent.

I've not been preaching any kind of hope, and I'm the one who started this thread. I'm a numbers geek -- that's the only reason I talked about the mathematical possibilities.

That, and pointing out that there finally is a genuine "must win" situation tonight.

I do believe the Daily Breeze has been saying that we've been out of the playoffs since Monday.

If they have, they're wrong. It's still TECHNICALLY possible on the tiebreaks.

Inaccurate hockey coverage? In LA? I think not.
