Source or just a nucks fan?

Pretty much every UFA comes down to canucks...

Semin's playoff performance woes are mostly just based on stats analyzed by people who dont watch any of the games. Its been overrated. His problem is consistency. Not only with production but effort and attitude. Poor penalties as well. When he's bad, he looks bad. There's a difference in perception here.

Every player in the league looks bad when they play bad. That's why we say "player x in playing bad."

Would love to have Semin in Vancouver, depending on contract of course. It's painfully obvious the Canucks could use another dynamic offensive talent.

Short term he could get as much as a 6 million cap hit.

1 year, $5.5-6m. Play on somebody's top line, score 35-40 goals. Cash in huge next summer.

I'm pretty sure Fedor Federov will put in a good word for our organization if we asked him nicely.

I could see that, raise his stock for a year, and then settle down with a long term deal with a high cap hit.

I thought he was likely to go to Detroit. Has something changed or is this just wishful thinking on the part of some 'Nuck fans?

Not true. Guys that just hustle and accomplish nothing rarely get criticized.

The second one. Semin adds a dynamic offensively that makes canucks fans salivate. Plus Eklund said so.

I would gladly give him 1/6.5m or 2/11m.

Van would have to give him more years since they can't give him 6M because of the cap. Unless they manage to dump Luongo without taking a big salary dump.

Well that's the idea, Luongo leaves and we don't have to take a Komisarek-like albatroz back.

Yeah shame on Gandler for not going on a 20 page mega corsi breakdown. If anything +/- should favor Parise since Semin spent a good chunk of his career on a rebuilding team, and the only season that New Jersey sucked balls Parise missed almost entirely.

How exactly does tendancy equate to something absolute? It's easy to cherry-pick stats. It proves nothing. If you want, I can play that game as well: 0 goals in 7 games in the 2010 playoffs.
Right, right, I forgot, PARISE IS CLUTH AND SEMIN CHOKES. Stats to back it up? WHO THE **** CARES ITS ALL CHERRYPICKING.

Quote:
And where were Kovy and Henrique when Parise put up back to back 30+ goal seasons and 45 goals in 2009? Zajac isn't exactly an all-world playmaker either. Seriously, Parise has been an elite forward since 2006.
And Semin hasn't I suppose?

Zajac and Lagenbrunner or Brooks Laich and Fleischmann/38 year old Fedorov/Morrison/Arnott/Johansson. Hmm, this is a hard one.
