I know, just want this to be done so the other chips can fall.

If I was Zach I'd sign with Minny and change my number.

Well if it is about leverage then doesn't Howson have some? I mean even if we aren't competing against other teams, Nash is not an impending UFA or anything so technically Howson doesn't have to trade him. Nash may be unhappy there but he is under contract for several more years- I don't see him purposely ****ing up and playing poorly when he is the captain of that team. He may just suck it up and move on without being traded. Kobe did it, Osi Umenyiora did it, etc.

If by some chance Parise lands in Pitts, the Flyers will go all out on Nash, if they miss out on Nash it will be Ryan..Either way the Rangers need to think about the structure of their team should that happen. All Bryz needs to do is play semi-decent and the Flyers are going to be a tougher opponent, dont need to say anything should the Pens ink Parise..Puts Sather in a tougher position than one might think.

To trade Bobby Ryan, the Ducks want a few pieces, including a 2nd line center.
Doh.

I don't know if it's silly from Montreal's perspective. They've become a team that can get pushed around. For us--a 4 year $10 contract for a bottom 6 forward of Prust's capabilities is out of line.

You win championships with great center depth. We trade Stepan and whose our second line center? Dubinsky? Anisimov? Dear God.

Besides it's a moot point. Sather has stayed steadfast in saying Stepan is unavailable.

Steve Rucchin was a top 2nd line center for a long time and his production wasn't far from Arty, who has 80 points the last 2 seasons as a 22-23 year old.
