I guess we will agree to disagree. How about we make a bet? Since we're talking about a 1st round pick, what do you say $1 via paypal...if a 1st round pick is included you pay me...of not I send you $1.
I don't really have any interest in a $1 bet but we'll see. I think it makes a lot of sense for a deal to include a 1st rounder, especially is there isn't a top prospect or top young NHL'r going the other way.

I have a question, I would love to see Vanek on the roster, much more then Nash or Ryan, on the Sabres forum there are rumors he is going to be traded.

What would it take and would you like it?

Devils announced Brodeur early this morning. Apart from Ponikarovsky (Winnipeg) and Parise, Salvador, Sykora (unsigned) they've just been re-signing up all their players from last season. So far that's Brodeur, Hedberg, Harrold, Bernier, Carter, Janssen and Gionta.

#NHLDucks #ANA #Ducks looking for a package for Ryan, #2 Center and #4 DMan plus a pick would get it done IMO. #NYR and #CAR possibilites
Anisimov, Hagelin, D-man, 1st?

Hopefully less than Nash or Ryan. And Vanek, unlike those two previously listed players is the personification of what we need. An inverted left winger. Scores between 10-20 power play goals every year he has been in the league. Boom.

But his cap hit is substantial.

Far too much.

Ryan isnt worth three roster players. He isnt that good. Neither is Nash.

Thinking more Anisimov, Del Zotto, pick. Does put us in a tedious blueline situation however.

Ideal would be Anisimov, MDZ, 2nd

They'll want Stepan and a first + MDZ

I'd rather do that then deal Stepan. It would hurt to deal MDZ but I could replace him with Erixob and feel a little bit better.

He may just suck it up and move on without being traded. Kobe did it, Osi Umenyiora did it, etc.
You are 100% correct. Things could go on as they are. Nash has been very quiet and hasn't forced Howson's hand. Columbus fans hadn't turned on Nash at the end of last season, so things could carry on the way they are. It all depends on how the player and management handle the situation moving forward.

MDZ is worth a lot. If they won't take that first deal, I mean, no one else will better it.

So the information reads "second line center," and people respond with Anisimov.

And this has been going on for months now.

Guess if that move is pulled off, the Rangers brass is confident in Erixon for the long term. IMO, he can be just as good as Del Zotto in his prime years. Very underrated.

Apparently that person is more affiliated with HF boards according to a ducks poster. He's knowledgable but he's saying it may be pure speculation.

If we trade MDZ, we better find a way to get Stralman back. Throw whatever cash we have left over.

I agree, but they'll still ask. Then we get a bit of posturing. You know the process.

We'll give up MDZ, Animisov/Dubinsky, and a 2nd for Ryan and a pick/prospect
