I remember Don Maloney using Rucchin as a comparable to what AA could be, after he was drafted.

And this has been going on for months now.
I hear what you're saying. But Rangers will try to sell him as a second line center.

Not sure who's reporting...maybe @Eklund , but Brian Burke couldn't be more emphatic in saying Toronto is NOT in on Nash. As you were...

We qualified Stralman. I have no doubt that he'll be back next year. The big hole still however remains on RH side of defense. I wanted Salo, but he signed for 2 yrs at nearly 4 mil, that's way too risky. Sauer's health is up in air, so I'm wondering if Slats can steal Dan Boyle from San Jose to pair with Staal.

Actuall, thinking about it. I don't think ANA will take MDZ because of Fowler. They'll look at McDonagh, Giradi, Staal at which point sather hopefully hangs up.

Well I heard he might leave to Sweden regardless of contract. If we move MDZ and keep Stralman then we have a left D and right D spot open. Erixon will possibly move into the left. Bickel will fight with someone for the right.

Dubinsky is a "center" too.

Possibly Dubi, Erixon (since he's potential top 4 and we are not trading either Girardi, Staal or McD) and 1st.

They'll want a current top 4 D-man.

The combination of Sauer's injury severity and not getting Schultz has really handcuffed Sather in regards to flexibility. As of right now, defensive depth is a myth. If they trade MDZ, it's a tall order to ask Erixon to fill that role right away.

From what I've gathered I think it's down to us and SJ. Ottawa is out. Toronto is out. I believe Detroit is out. Howson wants Couture from SJ.

If NYR wont include Stepan in offer for Ryan, which they don't seem willing to do, they have zero chance.Seems like Nash or no one at moment

Would be unfortunate if Stralman left. He was just beginning to establish himself as a regular NHL player on a contending team, he must be really homesick or something. I think if MDZ is moved, Erixon is guaranteed the spot on the LH side and if we don't make a move for Boyle, I hope Bickel improves from last season because he was downright brutal at times.

If MDZ went it would be Stralman, not Erixon taking the majority of the PP and PK minutes. He was fine there in the playoffs.

I remember someone saying that Nash and his agent thought they would remove teams from the list after the deadline instead of adding them like Howson wanted.
