Considering the player, does it really surprised you what his fans do? Crazy goes hand in hand.

Why do you think I'm some huge Semin fan? I just think he's a much more realistic than Parise, and we've finally gotten him a good 2C. Our lineup right now isn't good enough, we need another scoring winger.
If the Flyers don't land Parise, I'd think the Caps have no shot at Ryan. Holmgren will overpay for him. He's a south Jersey kid (i.e., Philly fan).
Wouldn't be surprised at all to see Read and Schenn going to Anaheim.
Wouldn't be surprised either, but man after what Holmgren has done with trading players who have just signed long term deals, trading Schenn after his brother was just picked up would make him public enemy #1 with the NHLPA........not too mention trading Read and Schenn would be overpayment in my mind,....you're essentially trading 2 potential 1st line wingers for 1 top line winger.
Change Orlov to a draft pick or two and you got a deal. Mojo is replaceable. Kuz is still two years away. Who knows what he will be in two years. Career ending injury? Who knows? Ryan helps this team now and for the next two years. Next year with Forsberg over here would be a time to make a serious run.
this is a horse **** reasoning. Same could be said for Ryan. Please stop cluttering your responses with this type of crap, its why you arent taken as seriously as you'd like to be
I know right, I can hardly believe Crosby can find a way to be the worlds best (when healthy). I guess Semin is just misunderstood and he's really the best in the world. If only we could find where he's hiding all his personal awards, Stanley Cup, and Olympic gold. Maybe you're counting those super valuable WHC gold medals that about 4 countries care about?

Oh, so Crosby can not hit and gets a free pass from the "he should hit, he's a hockey player" club?
This is like a bad episode of "King of the Hill" I tell you what.

Are you capable of making a single post that's not blatantly fallacious? Seriously, triple dog dare you to try it just once. I don't think you've got it in you.
It doesn't even make sense to debate 28 anymore. Everybody agrees (I think) that the Caps' biggest mistake is failing to get assets for him. But at this point, re: his return, we're now Democrats and Republicans -- pointlessly talking right past each other, lol.

So you say that one trait; willingness and ability to hit, does not a hockey player make. I think scoring 30-40 goals a season while performing your defensive responsibilities is very useful.

Well, yeah. Let's find someone that scores 30-40 goals a season.

Another day torn off your word of the day calendar. College kids ftw....
I've never seen a poster more worried about what others type instead of the actual topic.

So do I. When Semin does that, send me a telegram from the Alternate Future/Reality.

I'm worried about what you type because it's all misdirection. I'm not sure if you fully realize that it is or not, but if you do, you're good at it, and it has a very negative effect on actual discussions.

Exactly, the problem is that Semin hasn't been scoring enough, not the other stuff. If you think he can be a 30 goal guy again, it might be worth to give him 6M a year.
