I'm pretty sure that's what the phone calls between Brodeur and Parise were about.
Totally off topic but was it you who called Keith a bust and a chihuahua?

Not necessairly true. Someone on here posted a comparason between Kane and Parise through their age 23 seasons and Kane has better numbers.

Name was brought up a few times this offseason including a few posts up

Dubinsky in NY would be good option via trade

Like Sharp can play either LW and C

Would be solid addition to 2nd line

Brodeur wanted an extra year. He got it. I don't see the gain Parise gets from going onto the market.. but, in saying that, I'm not going to be surprised if he goes back to NJ in the end.
I dont know how the hell the Devils can even afford him at this point...

after resigning both goalies, I dont know how much cap room they have, but they would have to move a few pieces to get him under the cap....more so then the Hawks would

Kane is the better all-round offensive player.. Parise is the better goal-scorer and plays a gritty, more consistent game.. but, I'd still take Kane over him if there was a choice.. hopefully, we get both and neither has to be moved.

His numbers and play don't come close to justifying the cap hit. And he takes a lot of stupid penalties. No thanks.

the first year "garbage on skates", the second, "headless chicken on skates" and the following year, "chihuahua on skates."

the first 3 years he deserved it. since the Cup win, i've posted way back when to never criticize any of the 2010 Hawks ever again. Even Huet.

Isn't Parise a better two-way forward than Kane as well?
