He should be able to break in to your bottom six, very underrated guy imo.
A lot of the Red Wings board really wanted him to play more. He came up and scored a few goals, got injured, never really had the chance after he came back from the injury. He's a small guy, but he works hard. Hopefully Phoenix can give him a shot to break into the bottom 6. He's not a bad player, he's just small.
I like Conner a lot. I was advocating we acquire him two summers ago to see if he couldn't steal a spot.
That was two summers ago. He's pretty well proven he's not an NHL player over the last two years. He will be great in Portland. I know Dave Tippett likes this guy and he mightve had something to do with us grabbing him now, but certainly not for the nhl roster.

Who knows. Chipshura ended up sticking here and he was meant to be just a depth guy bound for Portland. Pouliot did decent spot duty on the rare times he did play.

But Maloney / Tippett usually know these types of players far better than I do. I was quite happy with the contributions of guys like Pouliot and Chipchura. I loved watching guys like Brule and Korpikoski. Their dumpster diving is pretty good.
