Calgary focusing more on trade front than free agents

As per David Pagnotta twitter

Quote:
I believe Calgary's more active on the trade front than free agency, though they'd like to add a third-line two-way winger
Pat Steinberg:

Feaster was holed up in the war room all day apparently.

I want Feaster to sign P.Mueller and W.Wolski. You could get both players for low $$ due to Mueller's concussion history and Wolski's lack of work ethic. Both could thrive under Bob Hartley.

I think Feaster's finding out it's hard to attract quality free agents to Calgary. I hope we don't trade Bouwmeester.

Stajan/Babchuk can go.

He's looking for some added toughness. We could use one more top-six forward actually, preferably a center.

Gtfo Wolski. Considering the type of guys of we've been drafting, Wolski will never don a flames jersey. And rightfully so.

Just thinking out loud, but does anyone think Jason Arnott would be a good fit here? I know he's getting a little long on the tooth, but he's big, strong on faceoffs, and can play 2nd/3rd line center. Always wanted him on the Flames.

Well, with the Hudler signing that pretty much puts an end to the FA signings. Next up: trade route.

You have to admit, a lot of "interesting" moves made so far by Feaster.

Id call them predictable so far to be honest.

Everyone knew we would be interested in Wideman and going after a Top-6 winger.

Not interesting IMO.

I mean, it is interesting Flames not picking up bottom 6 forwards or guys who played on the Flames years before.

I was expecting the Huselius signing any day.

Ugh, it's like I spell things out for some of you guys. Please read what we were talking about, think for a moment about what was being said and come back.

I'd rather have Huselius than Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblonde or some other random goon.

If nothing else, Juice would help out on the PP and in the shootout.

I still get a horrible feeling Feaster is going to try him at center.

Wouldn't that be Hartley's decision?

I'd prefer Cammalleri, who's taken more faceoffs in the last stint with the Flames than Hudler has his entire career.
