I don't imagine we will sign Jokinen, but I wouldn't be opposed to him re-signing. Just not a high cap hit for long term.
There is nothing less credible than Ecklund, also you have to consider the way Francis delivers his info, he usually views it from his opinion and doesn't usually pretend to have a "source". Dunno why you guys all hate him, he's just a columnist with an opinion. He way he presents it on radio especially is usually "I think you can see this trade blah blah" but he doesn't say it's anything but opinion normally.

I hope they re-sign him. I think we should sign all the cagey vets (Smyth, Doan, Owen Nolan, Jim Peplinski) and make an epic Cinderella Story cup run.

Terrible news to hear Olli is going.... he is a meat and potatoes type player who played his heart out last year. I will be sorry to see Olli go but wish him all the best. It is a bit dodge of him leaving after Calgarwy re-signed him and he re-defined his career here though

I agree, but I'm still optimistic. I'm hoping Jokinen is going to entertain offers, but will take Feaster's offer. The odd time a player will sign with their original team after free agency.

Can't see that happening. Some team today will offer him $4-5 million per season and he'll sign (ex: Islanders, Stars, etc).

Well that doesn't make sense. Since you hate the Flames too, who do you cheer for?

If true, that pushes Eklund out of the "Eric Francis Credibility Zone"

I honestly believe that after he sees the other offers he comes back. I doubt many give him a deal better than ours (as he can be #1 centerman here) and his family is settled and loves Calgary.

Could you imagine getting Jokinen and Jagr?

Tanguay - Jokinen - Iginla
Cammy - Cervenka - Jagr
Sven - Backlund - GlenX
Comeau- Jones - Stemps
Jackman

Fixed

It's okay, we can't / shouldn't sign both Jagr and Jokinen anyways.

I have a feeling if Jagr signs here, it's just to collect a paycheque and will likely float all season long.

I'd rather have Huselius over Jagr.

Couldn't disagree more if he comes here it will be to play with Cervenka and show the nhl he is still a top player.
