I wonder what the hold up is in signing Bjugstad to his ELC, you would think that would have been done by now, but I guess it doesn't really matter until he's turned pro. Although, it would ease my mind if it just got done before next season.

He can't sign until he leaves school. The decision is his.
Yep I will.. He was part of the first group, by the time I noticed who he was it was too late I'll keep my eye on him too.. However, our other swede Lindstrom probably looked worst.. Fell twice doing skating drills, pretty sloppy overall. I was also trying I eye in on delnov, nothing too flashy but seemed to have a good attitude on the ice.

The guy that came back to us in the dadonov trade?
Got there about halfway through the first group, too small of a sample size overall to get a grasp of all the players.. Few notes..
Jonathan Huberdeau - No way this kid isn't in our lineup this season, it is SO much fun to watch him play.
Jonathan Racine - Way better skater then I thought
Steven Hodges - Very nice hands, good wheels.. Sort of a similar package to Birkholz, but hopefully a better character.. I always thought Birkholz was pretty skilled but could never get it together.
Iiro Parkirinin(spelling?) - Actually really impressed me, great shot, righty
Michael Matheson - Obviously great skating, made nice passes, no defensive drills today so hard to really judge any of the D
David Pacan - Another wicked shooting righty, also looks A LOT like Jason Spezza lol..
Goalie Makarov - Very solid, quick, fairly big goalie. I definitely see us keeping this guy. Was making BIG saves.
I didn't mention a bunch of the "big names" because they were about as I expected, will continue to update throughout the camp.
Matherson a good skater with goods ability
Racine is a really mobile player and a really a great skater better than people think
Hubs looks like he put on some weight. His shoulders/upper body look bigger than last year. He has plenty of time to put on a clean 10 pounds.
he doesn't look any bigger to me. he's about skinny as a real athlete can be with that frame. that said, he will starting up serious training for september very soon and i think he'll look a little different by then.
How does Vaive and Volkening look? Volkening is in the USAF, and has been our emergency back up the past two seasons. Vaive was one of my favs last season, for the short period of time he played with us.

I saw Volkening on the roster and wondered who the heck he was!
BTW, I love your avy, is it new?
with drew shore having signed an elc does that mean he will be in the ahl or nhl this year? the reason i asked is because the reason given for jugs not signing yet is his desire to stay in ncaa hockey.

Shore can be assigned anywhere, but his NCAA eligibilty is done. Whether he makes the NHL squad or not is up to the coaches, and if he doesn't, he'll go to San Antonio.
Bjugstad is still a student at Minnesota, and it's up to him whether or not he returns to school or signs a professional contract. If he signs, he's in the same situation as Shore. He has said that he's going to wait until development camp is complete before making his decision, and my guess is that he's going to see what Tallon and the coaches say about his chances of making the NHL team. If they say he has a spot, my guess is he'll sign. Otherwise, he'll return to Minnesota to try to win a championship. Again, just my guess.

Can't fault the kid for chasing a national championship
