Is it guaranteed that Stralman will be back? Has he decided if he is moving back to Sweden or not? I haven't seen anything yet.

As far as Bickel goes you guys like to cut him down for whatever reason, he was a rookie he played pretty well for us and his ice time was limited in the PO's because Torts didn't trust him quite yet. I think he is a better option than Eminger at this point and another 82 game season might put him in position to play more than 4 minutes a night in the playoffs next year. I am not too worried about it.

MDZ on the right side was a train wreck when they tried it last.

That is true and a real problem
Maybe Erixon handles the right side better?
Scouts that I know seem to think so...

Asked Zip about Stralman situation. Given his performance last year and the fact that Torts was able to squeeze every ounce of potential he had I would definitely consider giving him a two year deal.

I know he is a left handed defensemen, but what about Cam Barker? He is young a former #3 overall pick and he has some size, never watched him play any thoughts?

Plus why not go the route of Holmstrom or Huselius for cheap wingers who can play both sides of the ice!

Erixon has top 4 potential and everyone keeps forgetting that cause they think he's not big enough. he's young and will likely work on gaining some poundage this offseason.

Sometimes the answers are right in front of you. Sauer and McIlrath are options in camp too. Sauer gets the spot if he's healthy

Still a trainwreck. Edmonton doesn't even want him back. Slow, dumb, doesn't put in the effort.

So the Rangers have (4) holes in their line-up.

Hagelin-Richards-Callahan
Kreider-Stepan-________
Dubinsky-Anisimov-________
Rupp-Boyle-Asham
Haley

McDonagh-Girardi
Staal-_______
MDZ-______
Bickel

If they make a trade, I feel Dubinsky will be the one on the way out. I still feel Boyle would be more suitable as the 3rd line LW than 4th line C. In that case they need to acquire a 4th line center who can win face-offs and is defensively responsible.

They still need (2) defensemen (Stralman could be one) and they will need to acquire/promote/sign (2) more RW's.

Nash is going to expand his list? Go ahead. Nash is folding. From: @DarrenDreger

For the teams that know they are on Nash's list, work fast after Parise decides. The list will likely grow if things drag on.

Rick Nash is getting pushed around by a psycho GM. If you have 5 teams you want to go to just tell him he has to go to them. He gave them 9 good seasons of his all. They couldn't build anything around him.

Could it be Howson saying that? Have a feeling Howson has been feeding Dreger info the whole time. But then again so be it if Nash does, the other teams likely wouldn't want to give in to Howson's demands anyway.

If Nash expand his list, which I clearly doubt be wise it's apparent where he wants to go, then I can safely say that I won't shed a single tear of he's traded somewhere else.

I was more accepting of a deal at the trade deadline because of the immediate help he'd provide. Now I just can't get past that terrible contract. That and the fact that Howson won't budge. We have to wait for other options at this point.

Gotta get Nash before we get closer to the deadline! Teams will be lining up on deadline day!

Gotta get Nash today! Teams will be lining up at the draft!!

Gotta get Nash at the draft! Teams will be lining up on July 1st!!

Gotta get Nash after Parise signs... anyone else see a trend here?

Nash controls his destiny. His list isn't getting any bigger. Howson's return is getting smaller by the day.

He's spent the last decade on a garbage team run by idiots. He doesn't owe them anything else.

That's my thought. Haven't seen anything suggesting Nash is willing to expand his list. In fact, the list seems to be getting smaller.

Sure, why not. More teams can be shocked at Howson's stupid demands

Not exactly going to cry if the Rangers don't get Nash because Howson won't come down off his price. It's a move better off not made in that case.

Only thing I ever saw out of the Nash camp regarding his list was that if anything it would get smaller after the deadline.

Zipay didn't feel the Rangers would give Zuccarello a QO. On Saturday,he tweeted the Schultz nonsense. I heard Stralman's exit interview. His first choice is to remain in the NHL. Stralman's english is not very good. Especially for a Swede. He discussed returning to Sweden but the NHL was his first choice. That Brooks article comes from the agent Marc Levine. Stralman will file for arbitration and both sides are discussing a multi-year agreement.

Pull a Lamorello. Give Howson a time frame for our current offer and tell him you're going to start pulling elements out.

I was ok with the idea of Nash before. But now I got another glimpse of some of our prospects. Miller is big, smart and skilled. McIlrath is shaping up to be that feared and strong d zone presence. Thomas had an excellent D camp, size is still a concern. Erixon is our most ready D-man to join the team.

So since Feb., our most promising prospects are only getting better. The outlook on the cap is only getting worse. There's other options. The Atlantic didn't get better (yet). Boston is the same, maybe worse without Thomas. Detroit is worse. Vancouver is slipping into cap hell. There's no reason to plug some holes, go to camp and see what you get out of the pipeline... wait for the CBA mess to sort out. Gaborik returns soon after, maybe Sauer.

Potentially a big UFA year, cap problems around the league, we can move assets in February to bolster up for a cup run.

One side note, if Nash buckles keep an eye on Buffalo. They're re-inventing the late 90s Rangers. Spending good money after bad, scouring the free agent market to fix last year's errors. If they really want Nash in a bad way, watch for Vanek to be available if he isn't flipped to Columbus.

Zipay is literally the worst beat writer. I feel like he's gotten worse and just doesn't give a **** anymore.

His writing is terrible (for example, the Schultz tweet. Either he has terrible sources or he's a terrible writer and doesn't realize that the way he formed that sentence definitely implies he had inside information that Schultz wanted to sign in NY) and his effort at covering the Rangers is half assed, and he just doesn't know **** about ****.
