Why do you read Bucky? Yes you. I began reading him several years ago, and stopped entirely about 12-15 months later. I simply avoid anything he writes. And from all the things I read on here, he's gotten even worse the past 5 years.
Honestly, why bother? I find other hockey news sources much more enjoyable to read. What's your take?

I can't read him either and quite frankly I'm upset that he is approving Regier moves. Now I have to question everything I believe in. If he likes Regier now I must hate Regier, right? My whole world is upside down.
I stopped after he said something about comparing Regier's philosophy to his own...as if Bucky actually has the hockey intellect to have a philosophy, and even if he did his philosophy wouldn't matter any more than any random fan.
He's another beer guzzling blowhard from the peanut gallery, nothing more.

I read it for the lolz. he's so bad that it's funny...like, if Jay Feaster was a columnist, and his skill in that department was equal to his skill as a GM, he'd be on Bucky Gleason's level.
also, just wondering, isn't it frowned upon to blatantly show bias in a piece of writing in a newspaper? Cause bucky basically screams, "I love lindy and I'm shocked regier doesn't suck for this one moment in time!" throughout the article

You clearly haven't read Bucky's stuff over the years. He ties Drury/Briere to EVERYTHING that happens in hockey, even stuff that has nothing to do with the Sabres.

I usually don't wallow in self pity or anger over athletes going from one team to another. I got over the Briere thing in about 1 season. Drury took me 2 seasons.
Such is life as a professional athlete. No amount of sulking and distain for players or management will change it. But some fans LOVE to hate and feed on drama. I think in some cases, it reflects their own lives.

You don't think the owner and self imposed budget had ANYTHING to do with that? I really can't believe people are still not realizing the huge, amazing difference Terry as the owner has on what Darcy can do which then also affects Lindy.
I have moved on from it. Actually I was over it by the next season, but its a new owner and a new way of handling such situations. If people can't tell the difference between Golisano/Quinn's Darcy and Pegula's Darcy has blinders on.

The problem is Bucky will go out of his way to bring it up when it has nothing to do with the point in hand.
There will be a piece about Tyler Myers, and Briere/Drury will get a mention for absolutely no reason other than to further his anti-Regier agenda. Those two have nothing to do with Myers, yet somehow he'll try to connect it.

Actually you're right. I'm sure Darcy hasn't moved on either. All of his moves have been to try and get them back. I mean, how can you blame him? You know how hard it is to move on. Darcy was a good GM until then and now it has consumed him and made him into an idiot. Such a shame. I hope when Briere decides to retire he signs a 1 day contract with us just so we can get that monkey off our back.
