To Moncton : LW Ryan Tesink (19)

To Saint John: C Brandon Shea(17) ( if he'll report)+ Cameron MacDonald(19)+ 2nd 2013(Sha)

Think it adresses both teams needs. Moncton gets their 2nd line left winger. Saint John gets a young center in Shea(1st rounder 2011) who would probably get lots of ice time on their second line next season. He still oozes with talent and has a ton of upside. He would definately benefit playing in SJ. I think he would agree to report because of increased ice time, great organization and its an english community. Cameron is a Q calibre dman who was injured last season. He could jump in on a rebuilding squad and be a solid #4 or #5 guy. Shawinigan's 2nd rounder will likely be one of the first picks in the 2nd round because they'll be among the bottom teams. If Saint John would rather a young dman , you could swap MacDonald with Labbe or Belliveau whom are both young and capable. Thoughts?

The draft pick in your trade offer seems like alittle much. Would Shea plus MacDonald be enough?

Swap for Sweeny and we have a deal, Tesink should fetch you something at the draft as he will likely play as an OA next year.

Id personaly do Shea and Sweeney for Tesink. Just because we have 10-12 Q calibre dmen but I think Saint John would have to add.

I think the value is there but I think another team would pay more.

I doubt it, as you said other teams would pay more.. Sweeney+Dhea should do it, Tesink is a rare type, I could see a pick being added if a deal like that happened.

I'd do Shea and Sweeney for Tesink and a 3rd 2013

Is Tesink the number one option available to teams looking to add a top six forward? Who are some other options?

Thanks

Sam Henley from Val Dor.Charles Hudon could probably be had for the right price from Chicoutimi. Ralph Bussieres from Baie-Comeau. Those are some left wing options..

The only option would be Henley as obviously Hudon and Buissieres would cost a fortune....twice Tesink....as their respective teams need these guys for a run in 13-14.

Why would they get rid of them?

Because theyd get a fortune for them . You could probably get guys cheaper from a team like Bathurst that would be considered sellers LOL
Example, Moncton sends them a 1st 2014 , 2nd 2013 and Sha 2nd 2013 for Bussieres. Then BC would send the picks back to Moncton at the draft for Dubeau and Sweeney. Do you think Baie-Comeau would decline ???

You forgot that Tesink is the top Moncton can afford as they do not have what it takes to swing a star like Buissieres or Hudon their way.

Baie-Comeau is getting ready for a run in 13-14 and Chicoutimi just got new team operators who would get blasted at the gate if they get rid of the Habs hopeful.

Terrible timing to hope for one of these two.

The 2013 draft is THE draft every GM is looking at and that is where Moncton has no 1st round pick.

Also Buissieres just got drafted in the NHL, the first in a long while on the Drakkar team.
It is like you would try to extract Lalancette from the Titan.
You can give it a try if you wish and swing the wind.....

What does this have to do with anything?? And I never said it would happen , but anything is possible.
So because Bussiere is drafted BC should turn down an offer that would benefit them? Their gm is not LGM

I can see that you got no sense of what it can be in a small market....

Buissieres is there to stay...

Tesink, of the proposals you made, is your best bet.

yes BC would definately decline.

They're happy with Cadorette and needs to ice a winning team now.

Hudon is untouchable for us.

Mathieu gagnon might end up in halifax or something. Great PP qb.

What would you say Gagnon's price would be from Halifax?

I think the price paid for Morgan Ellis last season would be about the right one:
2011-12-31 Shawinigan Cape Breton Beaton, Bronson (1995-02-06)
Rd_2, 2012
Rd_1, 2013

Cape Breton Shawinigan Ellis, Morgan (1992-04-30)

That would translate into a very good 17 O plus a 1st and a 2nd....that due to the scarcity of good Ds available this season....
Halifax do not have a 1st round pick 2013, so they would have to give a 2nd round 2013 and a 1st round 2014 probably.

I'd say a 2nd 2013, a good kid 16-17 years old right now and a sweet compensation next year would do it.

no I didn't say a 6th round this year and a 1st 2014.

It'll take much more then this for one of the best def. in the league.

I could see 2nd 2013, 1st 2014 and 2nd 2014 with a 2014 pick returned to you for Ashley or Ciampini next year.

When did Ashley and Ciampini become SeaDogs ???

And I took the only 17 year old I thought expendable.
