Oh and Erat I agree needs more ice time, especially on the powerplay get Murray off the powerplay put Erat in his place with Walker on the other side, leave the Hall, Legwand Hartnell line alone, it's been our best line the last few games. Arkhipov needs to pull the trigger more all that size, he needs to use it better.
I was being sarcastic

I'm sure Boston fans will be complaining about the refs, but their team played extermely undisciplined (blatant slashes, tripping, etc). They deserved the penalties. But it didn't matter. OUR POWERPLAY WAS UTTERLY ATROCIOUS. Honestly, how in the world are we 11th in the league in powerplay percentage? The only reasons are Kimmo and Zid, because are forwards look absolutely pathetic out there.

Why in the world is Erat back to getting 12 minutes of ice time a game? It just doesn't make sense. Meanwhile, Legwand is getting 7 minutes of poweplay time a game and throwing it down the toilet. The Hall-Legwand-Harntell powerplay line just doesn't work. Change it up already.

Finally, Vokoun. Gave us two points tonight. 7-1 in his last 8. I think he deserves some credit.
Legwand has 8pts in the last 8 games. I don't think we need to reduce his ice-time. I do, however, agree that Erat should be getting more ice time. Erat for Murray on the PP would probably help get those minutes back up there.

They've done some good things at even strength, but they have been absolutely horible on the powerplay. Beyond horrible.

I don't think any of our forwards deserve recognition today. Hall had a nice setup to Legwand for the open net, but that goal was more of a product of a Bruin screw-up than a Predator exceling. Johnson's powerplay goal was a lucky garbage goal. I'll take it, but other than that, our forwards didn't put any sustained pressure on the Bruins. The powerplay was out-of-this-world horrible, and they sat back on the lead the entire game.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for the two points, but the vast majority of the time, this kind of effort will result in a easy win for the opposing team.

dont get me wrong, Im estatic with our win. But someone explain this to me.- If the Preds score a goal in the first minute of the game, then they are going to spend the next 59 minutes trying to run the time out of the
clock
why do they do that?

I'm soooo glad that Scotty Walke's back. The guy was a rock towards the end of the game defensively. Saw him step up, intercept passes and clear the puck several times. We have a much better team with him in the line up. I love the guys no BS attitude.

Wow, can we keep the streak alive?

D@mn right we can!

It's Trotzy's damn system. I'm not gonna criticize the guy with the way the team's been playing. But I wish we'd win some games by more than a goal or two. My heart is still pounding after watching that 3rd period today.

Sniff Sniff Sniff....Waht is that? Sniff Sniff Sniff...Ah, that's what a team above .500 smells like. Could get used to this.

i don't think it's so much our "system." we didn't sit on the lead against columbus. i think that if we tried to stay aggressive against a much bigger, more talented team in boston...we were going to get bit in the ass for it. this is one of the few games i've ever seen us actually TRAPPING(and i always resent that people lump us in with the trap teams) and i hate to say it...boring hockey, yeah...but it was the only way we were going to win this game. there were things i didn't like...but we came out with a HUGE win, and it's starting to feel like midseason last year, again. if the shoe fits, wear it.

Do you work for the Tennessean? I think you're so used to losing ( not you personally, but the teams you follow), that you need a loser to cheer for.
Can't figure out what's wrong with sitting on a lead...isn't that what happens when you go up by one goal? I don't think we sat on anything. I think we fought our ***** off to hold back those big friggin' giants.
This post could be so much longer, but honestly, we came away with two points playing against a very good team in their building. You're not going to steal anything with those variables.

I agree to go into Boston and knock off one of the top teams of the East in their building is very impressive. Our PP did look out of sync there in the 3rd but overall our PP has been pretty good. Legwand to Hall on the PP against the Jax, so that line is producing both on PP and 5-5. Don't know why one would want to break that line up right now.

The Hall goal against the Jackets was 5 on 5. I don't think Hartnell, Legwand, or Hall has scored a powerplay goal since that line has been together. The line has just not clicked on the powerplay from what I've seen. Our powerplay vs Boston was some of the worst powerplay I've ever seen. Obviously, Trotz feels the same way. In the BJs game, the Vowel Line got more powerplay time, and not surprisingly, a powerplay goal.

No, I'm just not the sugarcoating type of guy. Ya, we won, but it sure wasn't pretty. If we play well (win or lose), I'll give the team credit. If we play bad (win or lose), I'll point it out. We played bad vs Boston. IMO, the only guy that deserves any credit for the game is Vokoun.

Please don't take anything negative from my post. I am way to sensitive about this team. You have as much right to an opinion as anyone else.
