Yeah, Williamsport is the new team, yet they have no ice rink to play out of and the FHL owner, Kirnan, is the main investor in the effort to have one built!! This has success written all over it.
Not sure why the Warrior players were not included in this draft? maybe none of them wanted to be? what a mess.....
Not to mention one of the guys named is the GM of an ECHL team and last i knew Hufnagel was still around here.
Interesting news, the Dayton Devils will be sharing Hara Arena with the new Dayton Aeros of the AAU Midwest Junior Hockey League ( Hope Dayton will support both.

Where did you hear that they're playing out of Hara? I believe you and everything, I just can't find anything online about it.
Coach Espo and the Danbury Whalers completed their team Free Agent Camp on June 23rd with several players invited back to the main camp. Matt McIlvane and the Danville Dashers are hard at work retooling the team he took over last year mid season. After a successful Free Agent Camp, Coach Mac will be attending the FHL camp to help bolster his revamped lineup. The Cape Cod Bluefins have signed a new coach for the upcoming season and will be revealing who it is in the next 7-10 days. Their tryout camp went well and several new faces may be in this seasons starting lineup. The 1000 Islands Privateers are looking for a new Head Coach to lead the team at their new barn in Watertown, NY. Owner Nicole Kirnan is putting together a top notch marketing and sales staff to tap into the new marketplace. The Outlaws team headed by Chris Firriolo is hard at work to move the team to Williamsport, PA, the home of the Little league World Series. It has been a long tough road for Chris and FHL Commish Don Kirnan who visit the new area several times a week to keep the process rolling along. They hope to make an announcement sometime in the near future. The Dayton Devils are interviewing for the Head Coach/GM position and have narrowed it down to just 2 candidates. The announcement should be coming out in the near future. The Devils are also looking for an office staff and sales staff to get out and start selling partnerships and season tickets by the middle to end of July.
At the FHL office, the staff has been hard at work putting together the schedule for the new season. There are many more obstacles than in the past with larger venues having concerts, shows, circus and such. I anticipate the schedule to be out by July 10th. The FHL Free Agent Camp is scheduled for August 9-12 in Syracuse, NY. There are still spots available. Please click on the Camp logo on the front page for info and an application. Gene Binda and his staff are reviewing the Playing Rules and reviewing several rule changes to be presented at the Annual Meeting.
Thanks for your continued support of the FHL and its member teams. Opening Night is scheduled for October 25th in Danbury as the Outlaws return to the scene of their Champiuonship to take on the Whalers. The teams switch barns the next night in a home and home weekend that is sure to produce alot of excitement.
