Fayne is out for a while, I have no problem rolling with these guys again. I'd take a flyer on Hemsky if he comes cheap, one year commitment to him is no risk at all.

That's what I'm saying. 1 year, if it pans out we look like geniuses. If not its only one season. Plus, Urbom will run to Sweden if by next season he doesn't get a spot. So with Fayne out he can compete for 3rd pairing with Harrold and whomever else.

It will not be Greene or Tallinder, it will be Volchenkov.

Unless Henrique learns how to play LW we don't need Gagner. We need Hemsky

He's fragile in the Western Conference. He'd be broken after a week in the East.

Hold up. I thought the West was supposed to be the hard hitting rough and tough conference

I would trade Tallinder and a conditional early draft pick (Play X amount of games) for Hemsky

I say trade both if we can.
While I know most Sens fans would love this, there really isn't any need with our recent acquisition of Methot. Volchenkov's contract is a bit of an issue too.

Not going to be anyone. Fayne may still be out at the start of the season, if not, then they will probably send Harrold or Larsson back to AHL. Harrold has a 2-way contract.

Because the east is where the hard hits are?

I think It's a massive waste of talent/money to make Tallinder or Larsson sit. Harrold will be our 7th D up in the booth. We're not keeping all of them. Harrold's our cheap 7th D-man who can play solid minutes if called upon.

If I were Lou I'd seriously look into Hemsky.

Even if the West has some big highlight hits, the overall style in the East has always been more physical and rough.

Unless someone from the farm system really really impress I don't think they'll move someone til sometime in the season.

They have to..

Sal/Zid
Tally/Larsson
Greene/Volch
Fayne/Harrold

Fayne may miss start of season but call up Urbom. One of these 8 need to go.

They will rotate one and Harrold goes down when Fayne gets back

I'd take Volchenkov back in a heart beat.

Not sure if many other Sens fans would agree though.

Nobody needs to go. At all. Harrold is a perfect 7th defenseman and might even split time in that roll with Jay Leach from Albany.

Fayne will miss the start of the season and possibly a good portion of the first 20 games.

I don't see his opinion that someone will be sent packing. Larsson will not play 82 games either.

There is a really good feeling about this team right now and I believe Lou's motive is to keep it in tact as much as possible.

Our 7 defenseman on opening day I strongly believe will be:

Salvador
Volchenkov
Tallinder
Larsson
Greene
Zidlicky
Harrold

Fayne - IR

Lou is the worry later type guy. And that's what he will do. Worry later. It's ok to speculate that someone will be moved the minute someone is signed for a position, but in this case I don't see it happening.

no one gets moved - typical lou

if anything one of them will play the wing (harrold) occasionally.

I would love Tallinder in Edmonton. But, if we're talking Hemsky, New Jersey better be adding.

I would ask Ryan Malone to move his no trade see if a Ryan Malone for Andy Greene trade could happen.
