My word for word reaction upon reading where Jagr signed:

"... Dallas...???"

Pyatt signing means Fedotenko is gone.

I can deal with that. Hoping for something like Rupp/asham-boyle-pyatt 4th line.

You would, but one of my closest friends from my time in Nashville spent a year in Dallas and would probably disagree with you.

I'm just saying... it's not about cosmopolitan. I just can't see Jagr in a cowboy hat at the rodeo.

Joe Haggerty had Jagr talking with the Stars earlier today, so I wasn't surprised with the move at all.

He wasn't that way this year because his age is beginning to catch up to him.

You gotta love any analysis of a 33 year old that begins with "Well, besides last year...."

I have been to Dallas and Nashville. Dallas is WAY more cosmopolitan. Nashville has a nice music scene, but its not a big, multi national city. Dallas is.

Also cowboy hat?! Unless your talking West texas or Houston. Dallas is pretty much in the 21st century.

It was a joke... really. C'mon buddy. Jagr in Texas in general just strikes me as a little off.

Nashville is a very multi-national city, by the way. It's cosmopolitan-ness is just drowned by the music scene. I lived and worked there for 2 years. Lots of various ethnic pockets all over the place.

It's tough to compare Nashville and Dallas though. You're talking about cities of drastically different sizes.

Nashville is not multi-national. Your thinking ethnically diverse(most cities are that anyways). Nashville isn't a major inter national financial hub like Dallas is.

I was kind of hoping we'd get Jagr.

it'd be fun if Selanne and Doan both signed with Winnepeg. You know, just for some NHL94 nostalgia. Although I can't imagine Teemu signing anywhere but Anaheim, he's one of those cagey old vets I wouldn't mind picking up either.

The Rangers have now had two opportunities to sign Jagr, they don't want him back. Time to move on.

Speaking of NHL 94, the only 3 players left are Jagr, Selanne, and Roman Hamrlik. Hard to believe so much time has passed.
