I'm hoping in the end, Pyatt-Boyle-Rupp is our 4th line. That would mean we got our top 6 guy that we need and added depth and all 4 lines could be able to score.

Odd stat.

In 4 less games, Pyatt had more goals in the playoffs than anyone on the Rangers not named Richards, Gaborik, Callahan or Kreider.

It doesn't mean anything, but just a random stat.

Pyatt is a ****ing great addition for the bottom six.

Much needed speed and skill down there.

Now get Stralman, Fedotenko, and Eminger signed.
hey man you totally called this , good for you. I dont see a pt in Feds or Eminger but I am fine with new blood like Pyatt.

I see a 2 for 1 deal now. Dubi and/or Anisimov for a scoring winger winger in the top 6 and maybe another C

Good signing for the fourth line. Still lots of holes to fill though.

XXX - Richards - Callahan
Kreider - Stepan - Gaborik
Dubinsky - Anisimov - Hagelin
Pyatt - Boyle - Asham
Rupp

McDonagh - Girardi
Staal - XXX
Del Zotto - XXX

Hopefully a trade coming.

Until Parise signs somewhere and unclogs the free agent market, Sather's whippin' out the good ol' pick axe looking for diamonds in the rough. Even so, Parise and Suter are not signing with us, so unless you're pumped up for the possibility of adding Doan, there's nothing in the market to look forward to. The trade market should burst right open after the big names sign however.

Semin or Sykora, but I don't see either happening now.

Sykora is interesting. He would help the power play but not much else, I think.

...and yes, I'm being petty. Wake me when we do something to improve the team.
Is there a sarcasm smilie I'm missing - you just proved the point that for the price of Prust we added two player to the roster of the similar quality. Don't like two for one deals much, eh?

Agreed. He definitely was an asset to the team, even if his role was not big.

They didn't want to invest $2.5M in Prust so they are getting players to replace Prust at the same price. Asham at $1M and Pyatt at $1.55M.

Gordie Clark drafted Clark in 1999. I wanted the Rangers to grab Pyatt at #9 but the Islanders took Pyatt at #8. Rangers took Jamie Lundmark at #9.

Pyatt is absolutely an upgrade to this team's bottom-6

A good signing by Sather here for sure.

yea everyone needs to stop on him moving, they signed him to be a vet leader and add some toughness. He can still do that. Remember when he smacked around Brodeur in the playoffs

Do you make any posts that don't have "Dubi and /or Anisimov" traded away?

He was noticeable in like 4 games all season. He was awful.

We don't need vet leadership for 1.5 mil that does nothing else, especially when our young core has been to the ECF now.

He's not going to get traded, but I wish we never signed him.

We don't make it to the ECF without Rupp's presence on the bench in game 6 against the Senators.

Maybe he should just be a coach?
