Gotta have Johnsson back if they are to make The Big Move.

Loose pucks

On the concussion front, Flyers trainer Jim McCrossin said Kim Johnsson is expected to skate harder next week. Fellow defenseman Chris Therien will begin light exercise but will not skate, the trainer said. Both players saw a Pittsburgh neurologist yesterday. There is no timetable for either player's return... .

IMO sounds somewhat good.

Hard to believe it has been eleven years since the Recchi to Habs trade.

I can't believe no one noticed on the Flyers site that Forsberg has a left groin problem and probably isn't playing this weekend.

I've noticed but it's one of those things where you don't want to acknowledge. This team just can't shake it, the injury bug that is.

By the way, you have to love this quote.

Quote:
Hitchcock did not rule out the possibility of playing newly signed Ryan Potulny in Friday’s game.

“Potulny is a real possibility,” he said. “Every day he’s with us, we’re more and more impressed. There is an upside to this. We can get a real good look at him in a pretty intense hockey game.”

I noticed it too... the phrase 'are you effing kidding me' came to mind.

Better to rest now and be ready to roll once playoffs start... but damn.

It'll be great to catch a look at Potulny though...

I'm just glad I didn't fork over the money to see the Flyers in Buffalo tomorrow night, or I would've missed Forsberg AGAIN. It would've sucked even more because tomorrow night's game is twice as much as the one back in February.

at this point it doesn't matter to em where they finish. They should sit Forsberg and Nedved for the rest of the year and get them healthy for the playoffs. I would rather be an 8 seed with a hekathy Forsberg than 3seed with a very banged uop Forsberg. Granted he will never be completely healthy resting him for the rest of the year would be a smart move IMO.

you have a point...plus forsberg's track record would indicate that he'd just get hurt if he plays anyway...i swear that guy plays hard but is as fragile as a china doll

Kim Johnsson says he is still feeling concussion symptoms and has no idea when he will play again. The defenseman has missed 27 consecutive games...

Roenick seems to be an exception to that rule.

You can all forget about Primeau coming back. According to CSN, he practiced again and still isn't 100%

he shouldn't... i don't think he should ever play again. i would be absolutely shocked if he didn't suffer another concussion next season in the first 20 games... you're going to hit your head, and his is fragile at this point. it's a shame... retire, become a member of the Flyers organization... let us use that money this offseason.

I wouldn't say that he's fragile, he just has the distinct problem of keeping his head down. Each time he suffered a (serious) concussion it was because he got an elbow to the head while his head was hanging down low. He just needs to be smarter when he's skating.

He is "fragile." He's obviously prone to getting concussions, whether it be the way he skates or his genetics. The problem with concussions is, the more of them you have, the easier it is for you to have another one. Just look at Brett Lindros, the concussion that ended his career was from a stick hitting him in the back near his shoulder blades.
