Luongo XVIII - SamJam Never Lies (MOD WARNING IN OP)
Why? Luongo is still elite and Schneider would bring you a much better return.
Unfortunately it's a waste of time talking about it because it seems as though the Canucks have made their decision. I would happily keep Luongo but if they were going to move Schneider then the time to do it was before CBJ and TB did what they did.
I staded earlier, with JVR now here, i would do Kuli,Connolly/Lombsrdi and a 2nd.
See, that just isn't fair. Both Lombardi and Connolly are walking band-aids. Say what you will about Luo's age or his contract but at least his medical chart is clean.
Edit: I meant in my other post That "Doesn't" have one of Komi or Connolly coming back. My bad.
If a team doesn't have it in their budget, they can't pay it. Not sure why that's difficult to grasp. They do need to pay all the players, and there have to be enough of them to fill the roster.
No Leaf fan is willing to give up assets they like. It seems like they want a proven number 1 for free. It's not going to happen. End of story.
Call me an optimist but I still see a deal there to be had. I think the ego's of both GM's need to be checked at the door first though. I still don't believe it's over. Burke can say what he wants in the media but no way he wants to go into the season with Reimer as his number 1... and Gillis can say he doesn't mind heading into camp with Luo here. that might be somewhat true, but it isn't ideal.

GMMG will never budge to the point where he even thinks of entertaining 90% of the garbage proposals thrown out in this thread. If this thread is representative of GMBB offers, then I would much rather see the Canucks trade Schneider.

I think both GMs are professionals and far less emotional than message boards posters. Certainly far more practical. They have advisers and take everything into consideration, including the pros and cons each fan base refuses to see. They'll also undoubtedly treat each other with far more respect than the fans show each other here!
