Told that Red Wing offer for Nash is not competitive...Carolina, Ottawa, Philly not on 61's list.

Flyers submitted big bids on both Parise and Suter. For the moment, Philly appears to be out on Nash. Things can change quickly.
Looking like we are out for now. Which is very good news.

This is the clown that kept claiming that Colubmus wanted Stepan + Kreider + McDonagh... so I don't take him very seriously.

Also, if we weren't on Nash's list, I feel like that would have come out from multiple sources before now.

I don't want Nash..especially considering the names thrown around to acquire him. Screw that...I hope he goes to some other team and is a non-factor...

If I was Nash, I wouldn't want to turn down the chance to play on a team like the Flyers. Of course if he's going to be all demanding if they actually get what they want for him, I wouldn't want him here. Why limit yourself if you can finally get out of the team that you cannot apparently play for?

RT @Aportzline The Philadelphia Flyers are most definitely on Rick Nash's "approved" list.

I wouldn't have a problem with Nash here if he signed as a free agent. I don't want to give up what Howson obviously wants in return, though.

Do not want Nash in a trade..Howson is salivating at a heist to redeem himself after last summer. Guy is a trojan horse right now. I like Nash but not at his reported exorbitant cost....I'd rather Ryan..more value although they are supposedly insisting on Couturier which is not gonna happen! If it does I will be livid and will rejoin the Homer haters....

I only would even consider Nash if Parise/Ryan/Semin are off the board considering the amount required to obtain him via trade. If Howson demands Couturier/Schenn even after all of those players are off the board then I would rather just go with the roster as is then move make a move we will regret down the road.

I would say however that Nash is probably the better player than any of them minus Parise. In an open market I would give him a blank check similar to what the Flyers are doing with Zach but I absolutely find it humorous that Anaheim and Columbus are demanding these deals with zero leverage in their favor. So bottom line in terms of cap hit/what would have to be given up/talent my opinion is: 1) Parise 2) Ryan 3) Semin 4) Nash.

I see Nash going to the Rangers, Parise to Pittsburgh and us overpaying for Ryan (giving up talent equal to what hes going to bring making it irrelevant) or Semin.

@Eklund. Sorry pal. Just talked to Dale Tallon and he says nothing has changed. Still talking with Van. Nothing imminent. High price.
This is getting pretty funny now. Seems like Dreger is targeting him today.

Eklund is so unprofessional. Yesterday he had a tweet about two player going to two specific teams. Of course, both went to other teams. He went on to blame someone else for his mistake.

The New York Rangers, Detroit Red Wings and Philadelphia Flyers stand as the top three Nash trade targets, although Carolina, a club not originally on Nash's list, may be intriguing enough for the star forward to consider expanding the list of teams he's willing to go to.
Seems this saga is still not over

It won't be over until a move is made. Homer has his face in everything, and until he gets something he will continue to be involved in everything

Nash - Staal - Staal would be a ridiculous line to have to contend with.

Why's that? It's already been all but guaranteed that Jordan will play C and Eric will bump to his Wing.

Pretty much nailed my thinking on everything. Nash to Rangers (because they have the pieces to trade), Parise to Pitt (because there is no god), and I fully expect us to give up too much for Bobby Ryan.

This a subjective POV, however, because I fully believe that any trade we can put together for Ryan that doesn't include schenn or couturier (or giroux obviously) would make our team better. I am fully confident that neither schenn or couturier are going to be traded, and that if Ryan is traded here, the package is going to revolve around Voracek. And Ryan is a better player in my eyes. Now and in the future. And it would be a good trade for us, now and in the future.
