He's played 24 playoff games and still has as many points as everyone on this board. I know he's a 4th liner, but seriously?

I can't even remember him taking many "tough" penalties either, I only remember a number of wimpy hooking ones.

It just seemed like when everyone else cranked it up for the playoffs he didn't have another gear. I think that was partially injuries, but I'm happy to not see him back, as a nice a guy he is.

I think Glass gets too much flack. He is not worse than most of the other bubble guys/4th liners we've tried. However, Weise is already a better version of him, so why bother?

Bringing Glass back? Uh...no. That's okay, really.

He's really not. Though he's not a guy I would sign - can't accomplish anything in the playoffs.

Glass was obviously a peace offering to AV after the Rome departure.

I remember when Kyle Wellwood was being criticized for not be able to produce offense with Tanner Glass and Steve Bernier on his wings. In hindsight, maybe those 2 wingers are a death sentence for a skilled, pass 1st centreman.

I agree. It's just there's a percentage of Canuck fans who seem to think everyone is better than Glass-- fringe guys like Duco, Volpatti, etc. It's stupid.

Glass, Parros ...looks like they're going for beef on the 4th line...fairly unsuccessfully it seems..
Wouldn't have wanted Tanner again anyway

Glass went to Pittsburgh and Parros went to Florida.

Get ready for the Weise Malhotra Volpatti line. YAY. If they get 5 minutes of ice time together they might even complete a pass.

Duco and Volpatti suck too, but neither of them played a regular shift with the team like Glass did.. and we paid for it any time Glass had to handle the puck. Fringe NHL'er who didn't deserve half of what he just got from Pittsburgh.

Don't need to. Just need to be able to tip it in deep, crash, bang, and throw it at the net.

glass sucked for us but it wouldn't surprise me if he turned into a pro cycling forechecker with the pens like they always seem to have with their bottom 6.

Malhotra just doesn't seem to have a place in this line up anymore. He doesn't bring any energy whatsoever to the 4th line. Assuming we don't pick up any grinders before the season, and based on what I've seen in the past my 4th line would be as follows.

Pinizzotto - Lapierre - Volpatti

But this all depends on how people perform during the Preseason. Maybe they bring Bitz back and he goes beast mode? Maybe Weise has been working out and training like a savage all summer and is frothing to make the team right out of camp? Lots of different factors to consider.

We have no toughness.

^ just what sort of toughness do Glass bring? Especially in the playoffs? Dude is invisable for us. He isn't very intimidating nor big. I mean look how small he looks.

The guy would fight and get owned. But his "hits" were never noticed. Glass is too good of a guy for that role.
