Bobby Ryan to Bos

To Boston:

Bobby Ryan

to Anaheim

David Krejci
Jordan Caron
2nd round pick 2013

So Ducks get their 2nd line center. Krejci plays 1st line center in Boston and is prob more a 1A/B center than a true #1, but he is better than most 2nd line centers.

Jordan Caron a former 1st round pick with NHL experience. Should be a 3rd liner with the Bruins this season, could play with Koivu on the 3rd line or Krejci on the 2nd. Plus Ducks get a pick.

Do Ducks fans do this?

Make it a first rounder and I'd do it.

I'd rather trade with Philly and hopefully get Couturier... Just sayin'

We've kind of broken this down before (not to be offensive), but we want Krejci to play with Ryan.

Yeah, I'm with c4rcy. If we trade Ryan, it's only going to be if we reduce the number of holes we have, not just move it around. Since I don't think we'll get another good young roster player (further along and/or more upside than Caron) along with Krejci from Boston, I have a hard time seeing that go forward. Objective value is no subject of criticism for me, at all.

I also want Krejci to play alongside Ryan but I am a big fan of him and wouldn't mind a deal around him for Ryan if we absolutely have to trade him.

I would do this deal. I'd rather pay $5M for a quality centre as opposed to a quality winger.

This is where I'm at on the offer, too. Good value, but the wrong sort of return.

I also feel that with the confidence it sounds like the team has in Holland, a 1-for-1 sort of deal is even further away than it may have been a month or two ago.

Lots of Bruins fans are against this deal too which is interesting.

Possible Ducks top 6

Perry-Getzlaf-Caron
Cogliano-Krejci-Selanne

We all want Krejci, to play with Bobby. I dont think he is a player that can anchor a line like Bobby Ryan can.

Caron would be a bit lower than that on our depth chart.

Not too familiar with the Bruins prospects.

Between the B forwards (Caron, Knight, Spooner, Khok), who is viewed as the best?

Nothing to get overly excited about. Knight is the one I'd lean toward. He's a good two-way forward.

Toss up between all 4 really.

Caron is the most NHL ready. Solid 2 way player. Very good junior stats. Has been fine in the AHL, and put up okay stats in limited stints with the big club.

Knight is a younger version of Caron.

Koko just went to the KHL, supposed to come back next season.

Spooner has a lot of offenisve upside.

Spooner and Khokhlachev have first line potential. Most feel Knight's top end potential is as a second liner. If I were to rank them by potential I would go:

Spooner
Khokhlachev/Knight
Caron

Isn't Khokhlachev in the KHL?

It's Knights defensive gifts and the grit that are the attractive features there. We're up to our eyeballs in forwards that have top six potential. We need more of what Knight is bringing.

He's playing on his father's team for a year in the KHL. He'll be back.

What I was getting at was it might as well be 2 pieces. Drop the 2nd. Krejci and the best prospect.

Bonus points if the prospect is more NHL ready or a center, but mostly just who's the best.

All 4 sound pretty equivalent.

When both sides are against a trade that usually means its a solid deal. Nice proposal, wouldn't be the worst deal for the Ducks or Bruins.

Value is definitely there but I would like Krejci-Ryan more than Krejci-??? (Selšnne plays with Koivu primarily). If Etem and Palmieri break through next season and there's no 2nd line center, I would consider doing this trade.
