So basically the only question left is how Victorious Secret can get to northern Finland with Flahr. Don't keep me waiting, it gets cold pretty fast when you don't have any clothes on.

I'll accept it only when it's a done deal, but I've always been optimistic on our chances. Just want to see it get done now!

Both players to release their decision afternoon, that does tell us quite much.

Russo was very positive about signing Suter as of "11 pm" in response to the reaction out of the Lawton tweet...

For what it's worth, some in Pittsburgh are calling the Suter thing a done deal...based on the tweet.

Suter and Praise a package deal?

I'm afraid to get my hopes up yet but I must admit it's looking better than two or three days ago.

To be able to sign Suter AND Parise? It would be one of the best summers in this team's history. It would also make us an immediate playoff team, and a contender in 2-3 years once the kids grow up. Remember, we're still fairly young and we have a ton of great prospects coming up.

If they both sign in Minnesota, it would be bigger news to me than the finding of Higgs boson. Yes, I tweeted that already but might as well repeat it.

My hopes have been up for months!

Btw-the Wild were a playoff team already imo, this would make them a contender!

Fringe contender (meant playoff team) at best, if everything wen't better than expected. But not a sure fire playoff team, especially when many teams and contenders in west have improved or stayed the same. LAK? Same Cup winning roster. Dallas? Improved. Calgary? Overpaid sickly, but still improvement unless their lack of centers hurt them bad. Sharks? Improved/stayed same. STL? Pretty much the same to my knowledge. Colorado? Questionable improvement. Edmonton? I guess one could say they're improved, but I expect nothing from them. Vancouver actually lost some pieces, and there is a goaltending controversy there, but if they get good trade value for Luongo, improved and they're still contenders.

I'm not putting all those teams ahead of Wild roster without Suter/Parise and leaving some contenders out, but still we'd be very lucky to get into playoffs without the big 2. So lets hope they sign.

as long as they don't lose 3 of their top 6 players in two weeks time. seriously last year wild decimated opponents, cully nor brodz could fill in for koivu.

getting suter and parise would be huge

I've been thinking about how the size of these contracts could potentially harm the Wild for years. But yesterday, I thought screw it. I don't care. I want both Suter and Parise. If I had to choose, it would be Suter.

I'm saying the Wild played themselves to the top spot in the league after 30 games before being decimated by injuries. I never took that as a fluke, that showed what the team was capable of. The team is better now than they were at that point last year. That's why I'd call them a playoff team right now before any signings. Add TWO elite players, you have a serious contender!

Not sure if we're better without Lats and possibly Bouchard. The D would be a huge question mark, even though I think it improved. Alot would depend on Granlund's performance.

The Wild played themselves into first WITHOUT Lats, so that was no change! Bouchard said he'll be 100% by camp, so we have no reason to think we'd be without him right now. Besides, we have Granlund and or Cullen to take his wing if not (The one who takes his wing leaves the other to play center). IMO both are upgrades anyways.
