I don't think anybody would have the guts, but if they do, Parise knows how the media game works. He'd have a rationalisation ready to go.

No kidding. Money only plays a small part, but it turns out it's still the biggest part, eh? Nobody goes to the Wild trying to win. If he goes there, it's because he's getting paid handsomely, and he likes the idea of playing for his hometown team. I think it would backfire on him once they realise that he's not worth what they're offering him.

Holy mother of God this place is nuts. I'm sorry but the guy is waiting to put together the best deal for Zach and no one else. This is his only chance to make a splash. Just don't drown in the meantime there Zach.

Minny- He would be a hero yet in a rebuild for years
Pit- Lost with all the stars
Chic- " " " " "
Philly- Gomer to the South
Devils- A good chance to do it again UP TO YOU ZACH

One of my favorites. They haven't won a playoff round post lockout.

We had more playoff wins in 1 week than the Wild have in the last 7 years.

That's about 9.5 and 7.5 aav, putting them either right at or slightly over the cap.
You can make the cap hit whatever you want it to be by front loading ....my guess is Parise will come in at 7 for 100+ million

Idk.. I really just still can't see him going to Minnesota.

I'm starting to get nervous for the first time in this process but still think we have a chance.

Parise deserves nowhere near there they are really overextending.

This should be quoted a few times to show what the choice he maybe making really is.

If he signs with Minnesota I am going to go on and on about tampering.

Kind of convenient that before July 1st the Minny papers leak how much the Wild would pay Parise to intentionally put it in his head that whatever contract NJ has prepared for him is nothing compared to what he'd get in Minny. Time after time ZP tells us how much he wants to play here... and how he'd sign before July 1st if the right deal was reached... then comes the Minny leak and all of a sudden ZP waits til July 1st and now looks like he's going to sign in Minnesota. That's tampering.

Super convenient given the Devils financial state that this all happened and it's complete BS.

The father is a dbag. Typical hockey parent. Believes his kid is better than what he is and ***** up everyone around him (including his kid) trying to make sure the whole world knows.

You weren't more nervous about Pittsburg when he could play with Letang, Neal, Crosby, Malkin, and the owner is Mario Lemieux, also they were in on Suter?

Cannot be 7 for 100. The cap hit would be over 14 mil per. You control the cap hit by the number of years. Front loading does not impact the cap hit. Front load impacts cash payout only.

Is Semin the guy to replace Parise? Not according to this!

http://capitalsoutsider.com/2012/06/...exander-semin/

Point #1 Parise did the same exact thing in the Stanley Cup game.
Point #2 Is sissy "fight" with Staal
Point #7 Is first English "interview" (yikes!)

Where is all this stuff about his dad influencing him to play in Minnesota coming from? Not saying it can't be a possibility, but it seems that everyone is treating it like a fact. Is there some evidence to suppport this?

Then I'm sure the NHL will have no interest in looking at the contracts considering the Wild will have to do some back door circumvention to get the cap numbers down....

It's the only way a charge of tampering would even go past initial stages with Bettman. Hell, it probably is tampering even if he still signs with NJ but he has to sign in MIN for anything to stick.

Don't think any will come of it but cause and effect...

Anyone think his agents would try to steer him away from Minny because of possible tampering charges? It's not like it affects them or its their fault, but it's a real mess if he does sign there, and I'm sure their client wouldn't be happy coming with bad news already.

Edit: Nevermind. They just want their 4% or whatever
