If we deal weber to Philly coburn and coots need to come back plus some other assets.

The chain of events I expect either today or by the weekend:

1. Suter and Parise sign in Minnesota.
2. Weber traded to Philly for 2 forwards, a defenseman, and picks.
3. Matt Carle signs somewhere that isn't Nashville.
4. Paul Martin to Nashville.
5. Possibly JBo to Nashville.

OK the next few hours are going to be very interesting. I'm actually kind of excited to see what we will do. Suter is obviously now my most hated player and I think he has made a decision that he is going to regret for the remainder of his career.

Well now it's time for the complete downhill race for the franchise. Weber will follow his footsteps.

Well if it isn't us I'd rather it be MN then Detroit. Now Poile needs to get Plan B going.

It will hurt us less in the standings, but it reeks of hypocrisy.

A plague o both their houses.

And David Poile just lost Ryan Suter for NOTHING. Will he do the same with Weber?

They have no faith in either ownership, the coach or the GM to win a cup here.

I KNEW he was gonna screw the team. Just was positive.
This could have all been wrapped up days ago. Now the furious bidding wars for consolation prizes begins. If Shea won't sign the deal in hand, GMDP better trade him immediately. Don't get screwed twice in one year, team!

Looks like Parise is going to MN as well. Only good news is that Detroit or Pittsburgh didn't get them.

He won't. Weber's already been offered a contract, if I recall, and I would wager he's traded before the season starts if he doesn't re-sign.

Deep down all knew this was going to happen. Next step bring in a star forward via trade, sign Carle, and get Weber to sign long term. Otherwise trade Weber and commence mini rebuild.
