This, hopefully, is going to be a wild summer.

I don't really like the Wild (mostly because of Liarpold and their ugly Christmas Elf jerseys), but at least it isn't Chicago or Detroit.

Called it.

At least it wasn't Detroit. That's about the only positive I can find in this. It's a dark day in Nashville, and it'll get darker once Weber is traded.

You have to trade Weber; you really have to. There is no chance he re-signs long-term. Find a good trading partner like EDM or PHI with a wealth of top forward prospects, and get something for him.

With Weber, you put one monster long term offer in front of him to be the man ... if he doesn't accept, then you shop him.

Which is exactly what Poile should have done with Suter.

While this is exactly what I'd do, I bet that GMDP doesn't do it. I bet he treats it exactly like he treated Suter. I hope I'm wrong cuz that will be a shame.

I expect players like Hartnell and Timonen to be included in the Weber deal to get us more cap, as well as players like Martin and JBo brought in.

We're going Florida Panthers style.

Yes, and you do it tomorrow. This is one of the most friendly free agency periods for top blueliners in recent memory.

Everyone take a deep breath. Suter and parise decided to play close to home. This team lost vokoun, kariya, timonen, and hartnell in the same summer. We will be fine but must either secure weber or trade him. I await poiles plan B.

Deep down all knew this was going to happen. Next step bring in a star forward via trade, sign Carle, and get Weber to sign long term. Otherwise trade Weber and commence mini rebuild.

I agree. If you don't want to be here then goodbye. No way Poile or the fanbase goes through this again. Now Plan B commences and see what he can do now.
