This!

You cannot lose Hamhuis, Suter, and Weber for little or nothing. This cycle must stop. If these guys don't want to be here in Nashville, then send them to some place they really don't want to be for the last year of their contract. An ultimatum should have been made to Hamhuis and Suter either right before the last year of their contract or before the trading deadline of, "sign or we are trading you and making your life inconvenient".
So now, make the ultimatum to Weber and quit trying to be the nice franchise. You see where it has now lead.

Cannot believe a team like Minnesota landed both star UFA's based on ****ing geography.

I hope they never sniff the playoffs and playing for Liarpold bites Suter in the ass.

Agree with the post above. Now with Suter gone, I don't want to see Weber dance around the topic like Ryan did on many occasions. Find out what his gameplan is, and if he has any real intentions of being a pred for life.

BTW, If Poile does this same thing with Weber, I am done until he is fired! I like Poile but you can't screw the pooch two times.

NOW, he has to be calling Webers agent and hammering out a contract. If he isn't then we MUST trade him.

BTW, THE WILD play IN Nashville saturday dec 1. IF there is a tribute video(there better not be) im going to to punch someone in the nuts. If I hear ONE SINGLE PREDS FAN CHEER FOR THIS BIA, I WILL PUNCH HIM/HER IN THE NUTS/OVARIES!!!!!

I will be there for that game. Mark it down!

We're going Florida Panthers style.
They did win their division and go to the playoffs with a higher seed than we've ever been (yeah, its the SE, but still).

Sure is a great loss, but this now becomes a great opportunity for David Poile and the Preds.

WRT your first comment - they actually paid 8 mil more than the Wings/Preds were willing to pay.

Honestly, when it comes to putting together a team, i'd actually prefer to be doing with the Wings are doing than the Wild.

I agree with your second comment.

Hey guys, just know that the Minnesota WiLOLd are not good at all. Laugh at them as they miss the playoffs again and your team makes it again. I will be doing the same.

Have a good 4th of July everyone. Go eat some hot dogs and hamburgers!

I feel your pain guys. In fact I think Suter was more important to Nsh than Zach was to NJ.

You're not alone !

Is Suter really worth all that gouda?
yes ... he's positionally a top 5/3 defenseman ... he's not a masher like Captain ... nor does he take himself out of position that often ... has a hell of a breakout pass & can skate with the best of them... Nice knowing you Shea. (JMO)

Suter just got 13 years and 98 million. I think we can all agree that Weber is far superior than Suter. What can Weber command now? 13 years 110 million? 9 million per would be 13 years and 117 million. If I am poile, I offer Weber 13 years, 117 million with 20 million in the first 2 years. If he won't take that then trade him

So we lost to more money and closer to home. We offered 13 yrs 90 million. No way we could do that with Weber to sign. Now we offer Weber 8 million a year for whatever term and if he turns that down he's getting traded.

I'll throw beer right there with you. To hell with class or being the bigger man. This dude knew he didn't want to sign LT with the preds and lied to DP and the fans the whole time. DP evidently bought it but the fans never once bought this propaganda that he continued to spew from his mouth.

The difference in offers was 8m. Add in the fact that even with these recent acquisitions by the wild I still don't see them a 'lock' for the postseason, atleast no more of a lock than the preds, makes me realize Suter was never staying...

Easy to say about last summer when domino one didn't fall until August. This summer, domino one fell four days into free agency when we still have time to make Shea a huge offer and intelligently base the decision on that outcome. If Shea is willing to commit for 5+ years, go for it. One year deal? shop him immediately. Two year? Sign him then shop him before any NMC/NTC can kick in .
