On the chance #9 leaves, how much damage does a jersey show if you have the name and number stripped?

was thinking that myself lol I got a RBK authentic right before we moved into the Rock

it does have an ironed on A though so I would have to pick one of our alternates to get a new name even if I had it stripped

I've been wondering this myself since 2010 with my Bergfors jersey.... Got that for Christmas and then he was traded a month later.

Not much if everything is sewn on and not glued. The easier option is to keep the numbers on and swap nameplates if another player takes that number. Cheaper, faster, easier. Especially since nameplates are all the same shape and size.

That's my plan for my pre-Reebok Parise #9 jersey. I'll keep the 9, remove the nameplate, get BROTEN sewn on, and add a 1995 SCF patch to the front. Boom. Done. Hell, I nearly bought a jersey like that back in 1995 anyway.

So i have a Kovy Jersey that i believe i will need a letter change on. Where is the best place to do this so that my jersey does not get messed up? (Of course id wait until its official before i changed it.)

Should i wait for a new #9? Or can I get the numbers off of my jersey? I don't want remnants of the 9 on it. Never stripped a jersey before.

If Teddy can make the team again, than he may end up getting #9. He wore it with his teams in Europe and in Albany.

Im just going to sell my retro Parise jersey (no "A" or "C" on it). Does anyone know who would be interested? Maybe just for nostalgia...?

I got a Bergfors practice jersey the same time and never got to wear it before he was traded.

I just took stock of my closet and looks like I have 3 Parise jerseys (normal home jersey, black practice jersey with sewn on lettering, and a retro that was never worn). I really like that idea of throwing one of them on the ice. I think the home jersey is the one to go, and maybe see if I can repurpose the retro with another player's name and number.

I only opted for the player tee after he only signed the 1 year deal last year. That'll be easier to get rid of than a jersey.

EPS and Dorholt do it. I stripped a Brodeur jersey I got through NHL.com (piss poor quality). The only problem I had was that there's a slight outline of the numbers still visible, but not too bad once I got it recustomized. If it's one of those super glued/pressed jerseys done at the Rock I wouldn't know though...

How hard would it be to strip a jersey that is one of the old CCM ones (from probably 05 or so)? Not sure if I'm going to go that route, but I'm definitely not wearing my #9 jersey in its current form at least.
