I think Toby really has more value than a backup goaltender and a former 2nd round pick still in juniors... come on :/

no.

If i'm thinking of the right Jurco, He still seems like waaay to big of a bust possibility (i NEVER trust trick shooters from junior).

No where near close enough to fair value IMO, but i could be out to lunch.

Ok I would assume I am thinking of the right player.

Yah..that's just a horrible horrible offer.

Sorry, I should've also included a 1st round pick for the Enstrom to Detroit trade proposal, based on what the Leafs got for Kaberle from the Bruins. So, Enstrom to the Wings for 1st round pick, Jurco and MacDonald.

No where near close enough value IMO. As much as I think Macdonald would be a good piece to add compared to the other UFA goalies, in relation to an Enstrom trade he is a throw in.

I would want Smith, and then one or two of the following (Nyqvist, Sheahan, Jarnkrok, Tatar, Jurco, Sproul, and Ouellet), and possibly a pick if the prospect was on the lower end (like Sproul instead of Nyqvist).

IMO, Enstrom should return closer to Burns than Kaberle.

Maybe not as much as Burns due to Burn's size advantage, but I think Toby is a lot closer to that then he is to Kaberle.

But even saying that, your proposal seems worse than what the Leafs got for Kaberle. They got a 1st, and the player they got was a former 1st round pick. And they got a conditional 2nd round pick if Kaberle resigned, or if the Bruins reached the cup final.

IMO of course.

Why would we want a backup included in the trade for Enstrom when we can just sign a backup equally as good. I don't know if the Red Wings would be the best suitors for an Enstrom trade. I think we could get better assets if we trade with other teams.

Parise will not be a Penguin.

Although this could have gone in Around the League.

I watched all the games and I very very rarely saw him miss an assignment. Almost never. And he won lots of board battle, tied his man up consistently. He was playing very in position though, so when other assignments were missed he did not try to go all out to make plays like some of our other defenseman, but he played very well at HIS position instead of doing too much ala Buff.

His first pass was hesitant early on, but he looked really really solid in TC with it and as he got more games and gained confidence his first pass really improved. I think he will be able to be a good first pass defenseman, that plays his position, rarely out of position, does his job defensively very well (still think he is Rob Scuderi part 2). I still think Kulda - Postma will be a very very good bottom pairing in a year or two, but with Stuart entrenched in the bottom pairing I'm not sure we'll see it here.

nah that's an office post. Any errors are due to my own faults (besides lazyness...as in lazyness is an excusable fault when posting from my phone).

Wild's going to be scary in a year or two. Just in time for a big realignment that will probably end up with us in the same division as them and the Oilers...great...just great...

Now that Suter and Parise have set the FA bar, things should move a lot more smoothly. Hopefully, we can agree to a deal with Welly.

I think us or Philadelphia are most likely to get him.

Now that Kane's agent is through with all that, how long till we see a Kane signing? My guess...............3 weeks. Sheehy is gonna need at least 2 weeks to get over the hangover from the party tonight

My gut is with Philly. If he was going to resign here, he would have already. I suggest they toss money at Semin now.

I think a lot of free agents were waiting on the Parise-Suter stuff on the advice of their agents. It gives the agent more negotiating power, and therefore more commission. Puts his price up a bit, I would think.

I would suggest tossing money at a stripper instead, you would get more in return

Alright, I'm just going to come out and say it:

I wouldn't hate it if the Jets signed Doan to a multi-year deal.
