So stoked for you guys and the Wild. I fist pumped my arm out of socket and I'm mostly happy because those two went to the West and I've always liked your team. You guys must be ecstatic!

Congrats guys!!

I think I would find a way to get down to the Cities for a Winter Classic.

I like the reds, but the greens are just too damn sexy.

Talk to any non-MN hockey fan... they laugh at the reds, but rank the alternates near the top in the NHL.

Congrats Wild fans. That roster doesn't look great overall but that's still a huge upgrade. They could make the playoffs as soon as next year and with a few more pieces could actually be legitimate contenders.

Hell, I'd probably try my best to get to Minnesota from Finland to see Winter Classic.

Congrats Wild fans! I'm mostly happy that neither went to the East but you guys deserve this. Probably the only state where hockey is the number 1 sport. The Bruins couldn't beat your team when they sucked...at least they'll have an excuse now.

We should have a group flight with all the HF Wild Finnish members. Honestly.

Great, now only we need to do is sign Miettinen and the team is ready..

Haven't seen Dowell on any line ups. What do you think of him?

Trade Cullen or Clutterbuck or maybe both for defenseman.
Why does everyone want to trade clutter? What do you want from Philly

Do they have enough to put together a good 2nd pairing or should they spread the wealth?

Parise- Koivu- Granlund = No brainer. Pass or shoot for all three.

Heatly- Brodziak- Seto = A solid 2nd line. Cannot forget about these guys. If Seto was healthy all three would have hit 20+ goals.

Clutterbuck- Cullen- Zucker. A thirld line that can turn on a dime and get some nice breakaways. Not going to kill you in their own end. I am not a fan of Cullen in the cycle. I hated it when he skates with guys that cannot keep up.

Powe- Konopka- Mitchel. Hit everything.
Kassian when need a fighter.

If PMB is healthy it changes everything. I think Coyle will have a harder time adjusting than Zucker will/did.

Suter- Gilbert
Scandella- Prosser
Stoner- Spurgeon

The 2nd and 3rd pairing fliped if you like. I thihk Spurgeon needs an oaf to help him out. Save his energy for the PP.

Brodin will definetly make the wild roster.

My D would be:

Suter-Brodin(Gives Brodin a guy to play with who can teach him a thing or two)
Gilbert-Scandella(Looked great at the end of the season)
Spurgeon-Stoner(Dont really know how to build the 3rd pairing)

Which center around the league would you compare Granlund to? Whats his upside?

I'm still so pumped...so who knows...

Two things: I think PMB and Granlund on same line is redundant and will not be effective. And, with Suter here, does that mean Brodin makes it? And, if so, he or Scandella would play with Suter, right? I think we want both of those guys with a vet...not with Spurgy, Falk, Kampfer, etc...

I'd do that as well. I'm having a good week. Got accepted into grad school back at the alma mater (SCSU) so I can come back to Minnesota and now I get to watch this team after only being able to see them if they played Chicago or were on NBC or NBCSN. So excited!

For the top 4 I think you're most likely looking at:

Suter-Gilbert
Scandella-Brodin

However, with just how advanced Brodin seems to be, maybe they're comfortable with him getting top pairing time. That would make:

Suter-Brodin
Scandella-Gilbert

After getting accustomed to each other, that Scandella-Gilbert pairing looked pretty good last year.
