We are the same team. Did that team not have issues? Did that team not get exposed late in the playoffs?
Did we not make the mother ****ing ECF? Did we not lose to the Devils who are much worse this season?

Your brain. Use it.

My reaction when I woke up and saw Parise was out of the Atlantic Division and Eastern Conference.

i think howson will take less from another team cause he knows nash wants to come here and he seems like the type of idiot that would take a lesser offer out of spite

We beat the piss out of the Flyers regardless.
Just to play the game as well,

Dubi has a repeat season.

Gaborik doesnt regain form until Feb.

Pitts was without Crosby most of the season. They lost Staal..They have Crosby back all season.. Hmm, if I'm a Pens fan I'd rather have Crosby on the ice all season. Lets not exaggerate Staal being traded, I'm sure he'll be missed, but not as much with a healthy Crosby. Therefore to say they're going to be significantly worse, isn't even close to the truth.

Do yo really think we'll sweep the Flyers again? Odds are pretty slim.

Shared this sentiment. Also doubled it when I found out that Suter would stay in the West.

Nash has a NMC, that's why Howson's stuck in the first place. Nash has to agree to any trade.

The tears of joy and euphoria on the Minnesota board, and the envious congratulations from fans of other teams, nice to see and I wish them all the best!

But it sure brings back memories of the tears of joy, euphoria, and envious congratulations from fans of other teams on the Rangers board when we signed Drury & Gomez. "What, we got them both? Happiest day of my life! Sather's a genius! Lots of money but they're so worth it! Give us the cup now!"

Pittsburgh will probably break even in terms of goals scored (how many more could they really score anyway?) but their pretty terrible defense has gotten worse without Michalek. I guess one could argue that upgrading to Vokoun from Johnson might help, but he could get hurt and in any case is just a backup.

The Penguins of today are worse than the team that lost to the Flyers in the 1st round, IMO.

Will be interesting to see if Parise can score as much on the offensive black hole that is Minnesota.

Barely played at Denver. Pittsburgh only real trade piece is Sutter and they just acquired him. Columbus and Pittsburgh make awful trading partners.

Part of the reason I hope Cally never leaves is because I don't think I could tolerate this board if we looked like they do over there right now.

Anyway, business as usual. Get Doaner or Semin. Still wouldn't mind Mueller either.

Yup. Patrick screwed us over with Jags when he took a lesser offer from Wash, so it wouldn't shock me if he did something like that again.

Well, the Parise and Suter signings worked out perfectly. The Devils lose Parise and no Atlantic team signs them.

Not really, everyone knew Drury was a bit of a gross overpayment(although they loved the intangibles). People were hoping that Gomez might turn into a first line center out of Jersey(but some thought otherwise).

Pretty much everyone was irritated about the Redden contract, but hoped that it would work out.

Both Suter/Parise are better than all of those guys when we acquired them.
