I am beyond happy that the Wild got Parise and Suter.

Love Minnesota as a sports city...Dont know why but i like rooting for the Twins and a hockey town like the Wild. Their fans deserve this.

Great stuff!

Crazy day for Wild fans.

Now other players can finally start moving.

Don't want Nash. Don't want to lose the assets.

I hope we land Doan.

Maybe we should've done what you wanted and signed Prust for 10M over 4 years. Yeah. That'd make us a **** ton better.
Yeah, that's what I wanted to do. Maybe if you weren't such a toolbag every now and then something you regurgitate might be correct.

I can't believe I'm suggesting this . . . but what about Rozsival? He has more left in the tank than Kubina, he's a right-handed shot, he might come somewhat cheap at this point.

If we want a RHD, I don't see a better UFA option.

As far as anything else goes, I'm still all for Doan.

Yeah, Kubina has declined pretty rapidly. Not a fan, thought he could be decent as a bottom pairing guy.

Maybe he gets his shot back. If its for peanuts I'm willing to give him a go. But in this market its going to be a significant overpayment.

I guess I don't understand why the desperation would be different for the Rangers if Parise signed with the Flyers vs. knowing they may get Nash if the Rangers step up.

If the Flyers were to get Nash, were in essentially the same situation, except with one option off the table.

I thought Kubina played bad for the Flyers down the stretch? maybe our system will do him better.

Rosi is fine for a body, but he doesn't shoot. Plus, he is going to cost probably significantly more than Kubina.

That actually isn't too crazy. Kubina's done. I'd take Rozy back for a year to be on the 3rd pairing and play 2nd unit PP minutes over Kubina.

I like Rozsival too, but not in the same way as you.

Honestly, I feel the best option is to go in with 2 of Stralman/Erixon/Bickel on the right side and see what pops up at the deadline.

With what's left in free agency in terms of blueliners, you can't be looking to solve your team's major issues here. You aren't finding that big shot from the point. If you're looking for a competent player to take some minutes, I think Rozsival is the best option.

I don't know if he's going to cost that much, but we'll see. There are just as many morons running teams around the league as ever, as the last few days have proven.

I guess the feeling is there more desperation to stay equal than there is to potentially move ahead.

If Sather has given what he thinks is a fair offer, there's no reason to up it now. Because nothing has changed.

I'd much rather have Stralman back than Rozsival.

McDonagh, Staal, Girardi, Del Zotto, ____, _____, Bickel

We've still got two spots, at least as long as Sauer is out. Erixon MIGHT take one.

If the Flyers were to get Nash, things certainly aren't equal though. I guess I understand his point, but I don't agree with it.

Mark my words, Rosi is going to get paid. He was arguably the yotes best Dman in the playoffs. He was a workhorse and he isn't declining.

Kubina could be had for probably a lot less and for a smaller pairing role.

I would rather take Strahlman over Rosi honestly. Strahlman shoots, and he can be had for less.

I know Leaf fans want a 2nd/1st for him, but I think we could get him for one of our thirds next year.

I'd sign both. Bring back DZ, Stralman, and sign Rozsival.

Sign Doan and call it an offseason.

But they don't have Nash. So there's no need to up the offer.

Slats might feel the Nash doesn't make the Flyers much better.

Wouldn't be adverse to that, but your going to be overpaying Rozi.

Rozsival wouldn't want to come back here after the way the 400's persistently treated him despite years of service. And I don't blame him.

I don't think so. He wouldn't come more expensive than $3 million for a one year deal, IMO.

But if the Rangers and Flyers are the top competition for Nash, if the Rangers don't give Howson an offer he likes, that's a very real possibility.

Probably true, but I think Rosi also thinks fondly of Sather and the organization. There wasn't any bad blood when he was traded.
