Probably the 9K, the Projekts are a bit flimsy imo.

Out of those two, I'd choose the 9k's although I like the Supreme pants the most.

First I'd say find which fits you best in the protection range you want.

For that price range you have a pretty wide pick...the 9Ks, CCM U+CS (crazy strong), or even some Tackla 9000s which are hard to beat in protection IMHO. Don't know much about Bauer or Easton pants but figure you have good choices in that price range too.

Between the two though, I'd go with the 9K for protection and fit personally.

I just bought the CCM U+ Crazy Lights and I love them. I've been wearing CCM's for the majority of time I've been playing ice though and I prefer lightweight and breathable over protection as I'm a pretty durable and smart hockey player (ie I don't turn my back on hits and I usually know when guys are coming for me). I'd give the CCM CS's a look but if that's you're price range I'd look at all the high end models from each manufacturer and pick what fits best. I used to be an Easton only guy but none of their pants ever fit me, either too small or too big, so I've stuck with CCM. And I hate changing/breaking in ice pants.

I was in the same boat and went Tackla 9000, but I like Reebok 9k too.

I have a pair of Tackla 2440's, I really like the level of protection they have especially considering the number of times I fall on my ass in a game. They're a little bulky in the back/hip/kidney protection area but I don't find it gets in the way.

I picked up a pair of CCM U12s for $90 US last month and I love them. A little less protection than my U+09s but a lot lighter. In fact they are even lighter than the crazy lights, but again offer less protection than the top of the line ones.

Warrior Hustlers are great, lot of padding. Pretty thick. I have blocked many shots and for beer league you wont feel a thing.
