Yeah, seriously. He should be the greatest player in the NHL with that goal song.

The goal is to win the cup after all, not horde prospects.
Exactly. If we get him and it's a decent trade then good, I think he can hit 70-75 points here. He isn't as abysmal away from the puck as people like to act. He actually did a lot of PKing under Hitchcock. Richards wouldn't use him there for whatever reason, I really think there might be a rift between Nash and Richards.

Every free agent is overpaid, some players like Dubinsky sign for a fair value and regress (not saying its permanent) hence they become overpaid, and some GM's are desperate to keep their stars around so they overpay them. That is what happened with Nash.

Can I make a bet with someone here? Within the first 2 weeks of Nash playing here, there will be a Nash appreciation thread.

In 2004, Wings and Rangers spent $50-million more than Minnesota. Right now, the Wild's payroll is $13-million higher than Detroit and NYR.

gotta love it. 2004 we get a lockout to protect the small market closes. 2012 we get a lockout to stop the small market clubs from spending lol

Where is he getting this? What leads him to believe Howson's actually going to get his bidding war? Detroit has nothing to trade and Pittsburgh would have to deal Sutter.

Only if the bet includes a clause that says the bet is canceled if there is a "Trade Nash" thread within 2 weeks of the appreciation thread being made.

Lol howson is not trading Nash to Detroit without a super premium. Pitts doesn't have the assets without giving up someone they don't want to

Why do I have a feeling that this Rick Nash talk will last the whole summer?

It's got nothing on the summer of Kovalchuk.

Kovalchuk, Sundin, and our very own Brad Richards have to be 1-2-3 as far as that stuff goes.

I was still lurking back then, I think.

I regularly read with my jaw open, in disbelief of what i was reading.

I still blame his awful start with the Devils on him googling his own name, finding the boards, and having his game dissected up one way and down another.

Detroit board saying something about Semin just waking up around now and then going over contracts where he is............so his deal likely tommorow I am guessing

If the Rangers sign Semin do we agree just keep the rest of the Forwards as is? They have the space

Richie was kind enough to make a decision on July 2nd. Had it gone any longer, it could have gotten SERIOUSLY ugly.

Yeah, the Lebron thing was very pretentious, but it was fairly quick. Gotta admit(no offense Knick fans), I was happy that he didn't pick New York. Knick fans were POSITIVE that he would. It was funny seeing the reaction.

The entitlement was pretty silly.
