If we can get Nash without giving up Shump I'll be happy.

Sign Hill and were set.

Nash
Shumpert
Melo
Stat
Chandler

Lin
Hill
Novak
Harrelson
Jeffries

Top 4 team in the east without a doubt.

One factor: people close to Nash say he wants his ex-wife to agree to move the kids to the city he chooses. They've lived in New York.
Makes a little bit more sense.

Yeah it would be great to get him and still hold on to Shumpert. But I'm not counting on it.

I LOVE Steve Nash. He's my favorite player of the past decade.

But if we're giving up Shump for him it's not worth it. Say goodbye to any defense, even Tyson couldn't carry this Knicks team sans Shump defensively for 82 games. And Tyson is the god of defense.

Also i'm not sold on this Knicks team at all. It took a fluke 40 point game from Carmelo to beat the Heat in a close game.

We're not contenders. I don't know if Nash changes that, since Amar'e is falling apart so his only real offensive option is Carmelo.

Can you imagine two players with more contradicting styles than Nash and Anthony?

Yup. Knicks just didn't add up for Nash. Keep Lin and add a backup for Chandler.

Of course the Lakers end up with him. They'll get Howard too.

At the expense of Shumpert?

I don't know how basketball fans can be upset? This is the return of Showtime. The Lakers are going to be very fun to watch.

Especially if they get Dwight Howard.

Basketball fans have seen enough of the Lakers. When was the last time they sucked?

Mid 1990s.

Lakers made a good move.

Shumpert remains a Knick. Don't think Lin comes back though. Seems like a quiet reserved guy, and his best friend Fields is already gone. Houston is Jesus Country anyway.

You guys lost Landry Fields? Wow, Knicks are not looking too good. Seems to me they are going through their Gomez/Drury phase. But they are losing their kids as well.

No way. Fields was absolutely terrible. Rather see JR Smith out there in all honesty.

Knicks will pick up a few more pieces during the rest of free agency.... see what happens.

I thought he was a stud? At least that is what I remember from a season ago. Guess he fell apart then. Oh well, I have limited basketball knowledge.

The boy cannot shoot. If Fields were on a boat and wanted to shoot a basketball in the ocean, some how he will miss..

You know they're going to be good. They'll always attract talent in this sports era of frequent free agent moves. So wouldn't you rather they be enjoyable to watch? I understand if you are a fan of a chief rival of theirs, but the Knicks-Lakers rivalry died decades ago.

Nash and Gasol are two of my favorite players, as is Grant Hill (who might sign with them). Hard to hate Kobe, he's just too good.

The Knicks have already said they're going to match the Houston offer.
