As a Toronto fan I can see he did nothing for the team last year. He constantly got bad penalties and was nothing special on the ice

Haha 50 goal man with Crosby. But in seriousness, nice signing. Won't impress at the NHL level, but he'll make his presence felt at the ahl level

I'm afraid Bylsma may have his next man-crush that never leaves the lineup if Phillipe Dupuis is as hard working as some of you claim. Bylsma loves that stuff. Probably values it over skill.

If you can't have two Staal, why not two Dupuis?

He's a very good AHL player, but his game doesn't translate at all to the NHL. He can play very limited 4th line minutes in the NHL if needed, but hope that you guys have enough depth that he isn't needed.

We already have Craig Adams in the all heart no talent role so I don't see a spot for Dupuis 2.0 apart from injury callup.

Pretty invisible for the Leafs last season but when watching the Marlies run to the finals, it was pretty clear he was a big part of that team. Great AHL signing and not the worst injury call up.

Solid addition to WBS for next season. Instantly gives the team a nice edge defensively and will chip in with some goals as well. For the money this is a great signing.

Philippe Dupuis TOR C 30 GP 0 G 0 A 0 PTS

Skates well. Decent size. Can't score. See above. Was part of the worst PK in the history of the NHL. PK improved by leaps and bounds when he was sent down. Not all his fault but there is some evidence that he wasn't very effective last year.

Pens have excellent PK coaches so if he ends up in the NHL I don't think it would take long to turn him into a decent PKer.

He was brought into to be a guy on the PK. What ended up happening was that the Leafs awful PK was killing more penalties because he took the dumbest penalties.

I still think he can get better but he really has a knack of taking some stupid penalties.

Nicholas Deschamps is probably heart broken over this. They played very well together for the Marlies.

Dupuis is a slightly better option than Barch, but again the upside is he's a warm body. Yay.

First the Sedins, then the Staals, the Schenns, the Schultzs, and now the Dupuis

Nice, now all we need to do is pick up Tim Kennedy and we'll have a strangle hold on the support players with similar names market.
