I recently went back to my old stick length (collarbone), but now I feel that even my 67 flex Int. stick is too stiff because I'm short & have to cut it quite a lot. So I'd probably need a 60 flex stick soon.
Can any of you tell me which brands has 60 flex besides Bauer or Warrior's 55 flex?
Miken has a variety of lighter flexes. Easton has a lighter intermediate flex. Base has 65 and 55 flex intermediate shafts. Harrow has a 60 flex shaft.
H-14 (and H-11 among others) are 'stock' pro-stock curves available to anyone who orders a run of custom sticks from Reebok/CCM. One can either choose from a preexisting database of curves or pay to send a mold of their own unique custom curve. H-14 is one of those database curves if I'm not mistaken.
Tr is traditional shaft dimensions (straight side walls and rounded corners iirc)

Just got the new 52 cal reloaded combat.... thing is like a whip.. takes a lot of getting used to again after being with the EQ50 after my other combat broke..
so i went out and bought a 25$ wooden left handed stick to make sure i couldnt possible improve by switching hands. i think i chose correctly by initially getting a right handed stick, i could get shots off and stick handle with the lefty, but the precision just wasnt there and even if i decided to start from scratch with it and improve that side, it wouldnt have improved me overall. as in i wouldnt necessarily be better with my left than my right.
So I decided to get 4 different replacement blades to try and figure out which I liked best (1 Warrior, 3 Bauer)

P92 Backstrom
PM9 Stamkos
Vanek (Warrior)
I guess we shall find out soon enough which one i like the best
For your sake, I hope it's not the Vanek because Warrior discontinued that curve. Vanek has now become my go-to pattern and I'm going to have to stock up on either Dolomites or AK27 blades this summer...

Well that's unfortunate. I may need to try and find a similar blade from another company then just in case.
My mother-in-law is going on a holiday to CZ in a couple of weeks. She offered to bring me back home a nice one piece stick. I was wondering if there are any Czech specific stick brands wich are cheaper than the Norhtamerican ones ?
Broke my AK 27 last night and won't be able to get the same model by this weekend for a tournament so I'm looking at the Bauer Nexus 600, has anyone used this stick? I'm looking at that stick because the local LHS selection of Warrior's is slim and I'm a big Warrior fan.
I'm thinking of the Warrior Dynasty and Easton S65.
Anyone have thoughts on these two? Which one has better value at retail? If I do decide on the Dynasty I may order online since Warrior ships worldwide and Easton doesn't.
Lefty was comfortable for me, thanks for the advice. Follow up question, i got a cheap wooden stick with an abs core, is that still good for ice? Or do I need pure wooden stick like the 5030? Are there any other wooden ones out there even worth considering?
It's ok for ice, but ABS is a softer material than even fresh wood, so there is a greater chance of the blade torquing more on shots. It will also feel less responsive than wood imo.

The Widows and Diablos should be on clearance for new sticks if you haven't picked one up already. The Nexus 600 is a little heavy but feels like it's VERY well balanced for the price point. I'm tempted but know that I need to save up for a high end stick. I also don't know about the feel.

The Dynasty will be a better stick as it is a legacy of the Dolomite two-piece. The S65 is more of a price point stick.
I have a Dynasty and it is actually pretty good. While it might not have the pop and feather weight of a $200 stick, the puck feel is very good, it is pretty well balanced, and it has held up pretty well. I used it a few times last year but mostly as a backup, while it has been my main stick all summer and now.
I ended up ordering a EQ50 75 flex Parise curve on eBay because there was one going for $100.
Bought a Warrior Bentley 70 flex Kopitar curve as a temporary stick for now. Paid $70 for this stick, and honestly, I can feel a notable dip in quality compared to $100 sticks. The stick is heavier and it feels stiff.
But hey, I'm just giving new curves a try. Been using mostly neutral/closed blades, thinking about giving open/aggressive curves a shot for a while.
I tried putting a tacki mac command grip. I've done this before, but boy is it a pain in the ass to put on. I gave up half way because I got stuck with an inch or so left. Just cut the rest off and taped the knob myself.
my go to trick for tacki macs is to use one of those jar opener grip devices- you can get one at the dollar stores. It's similar to the tacki mac and gives you the extra leverage yo uneed
