I don't want Doan. Maybe if we were a team lacking leadership.

There seems to be a lot of speculation (from the media, possibly Howson) that Nash will expand his list.

Not sure why he would do that. If I'm him I stick to my list or play it out in Columbus.

Only name they mention is Dubinsky. Basically said he's the only NHL roster player we're willing to include and that we won't include any top prospects.

That's all it is, speculation. That and the CBJ media and Howson trying to force someones hand. They keep mentioning that the only possible way to get a 30g guy now is via trade. Semin is still out there, as is Doan (possibly). Howson thinks he has all the leverage right now, look for Brooks or someone else to start talking about the Rangers options.

In 2004, Wings and Rangers spent $50-million more than Minnesota. Right now, the Wild's payroll is $13-million higher than Detroit and NYR.

gotta love it. 2004 we get a lockout to protect the small market closes. 2012 we get a lockout to stop the small market clubs from spending lol
This is a reason why you don't trust an owner.

I'm sure sometime today we'll see a list of players from Brooks that have drawn interest from the Rangers. Doan, Semin, and Ryan for sure. Probably a few guys nobody knew was on the block as well.

I know it's not fun for every fan but I enjoy this stuff quite a bit. The anatomy of a deal is really interesting, we see a hell of a lot more of it now a days thanks to twitter and online media.

No need for a CC is pretty sweet. How can i listen to it away from my computer? I don't own a car since I live in the city. Is it worth it? Expensive?

The Rangers, with a plethora of young NHL forwards and forwards on the cusp of playing in the league, have seemed the obvious dance partner for the Blue Jackets since February. But the Rangers have tried to pry Nash from the Blue Jackets without giving up any proven NHL players (other than Brandon Dubinsky) or high-end prospects.
http://www.bluejacketsxtra.com/conte...ams-favor.html

Portzline is playing up the Wings today. I posted a tweet last night from a Wings beat writer saying Nash and Ryan will end up the Rangers or Flyers. Everyday its a new team with Portzline.

I used to have it and thought it was awesome, but I used to drive a lot more than I do now. I think they have a mobile app as well if you're not near your computer. Don't know what it costs now. I remember being able to listen to Rangers games when I did have it though and that was nice for nights I worked late and had to drive home.

i'm really not interested in losing miller or stepan...and as much as i like dubi and his heart, i realize you have to give up something to get something

Artie will be arbitration eligible next season too. 3rd contract.

And to be fair, you also have to factor in the cost of replacing Hagelin/Artie.
Trading Dubinsky and AA in the same deal is losing two players who can also play in the middle.

Miller in 13-14 beginning a 3 year ELC will be a replacement. He has no performance bonus money in his first season. $925,000 salary. His cap number will decrease with the SPC sliding in 12-13.

I am not married to Anisimov either. Trade him next summer.

Send Stepan plus nonroster pieces for Ryan
Sign Doan, MDZ, Stralman
Have an organistaional player (Wellman, Hrivik, Haley) fill in as a number 13 while Gabby is out
Or maybe JT Miller -if he has a great camp

Some stats

Berglund
24 yo, 6'3", 220 lbs
170 points - 323 Gp - 0,53 PPG

Ryan
25 yo, 6'2", 216 lbs
270 points - 351 GP - 0,77 PPG

Dubinsky
26 yo 6'1", 210 lbs
240 points - 424 GP - 0,57 PPG

Stepan
22 yo, 6'0", 172 lbs
105 points- 189 GP - 0,56 PPG

Ryan >>> Dubinsky
Berglund <= Stepan
Ryan, Berglund >> Dubinsky Stepan, other nonroster assets
Ryan, Berglund, Doan, Kreider, Pyatt, Asham >>> last years team incl Stepan, Dubinsky, Prust, Mitchell and The Hobbit/Wolski
Sorry! That is the way I would see it. We are trading youth for youth here, not for some old content vets. Upgrading our roster players size and point production. Kind of what LA did this year...

Bring it on!
Btw, heard today from reliable source that Dallas moved Ribiero due to "off ice issues". I could say more, but will not for now...
Looks like a plan to me. Something I'd definitely consider, would lean towards doing it.

All these tweets and messages about how Nash might expand his list, and teams better pony up talent now, etc etc is all posturing from Howson.
