It's directed at the OP, not Leafs fans in general. But seriously, even a little thought into what other teams need rather than throwing around random pieces.
The result the OP is after is to acquire players he would like to have on his team while discarding players he does not like on his team. Anyone can play this game, it's just that TML fans do it far more than any other fanbase.
The Kings are stocked to the brim at center. They have no need whatsoever for Steckel. If the Kings were interested in trading Clifford, they would be more interested in picks or a prospect swap.
This. At this point, if Clifford were to be traded, I'd move him for picks... he can probably fetch a 2nd + 3rd.
But I'm not convinced he needs to be moved at all. I dont see Nolan as being a lock to stay on the roster. Clifford can easily play on the 4th line with Fraser and one of Richardson or King (assuming Gagne stays healthy and is on the 3rd line with Lewis + Stoll).
If we're going to move someone... its going to be a center... and his name is Loktionov.
Basically Loktionov will play a whole year in the AHL, probably first line, and hopefully stay healthy all year. Right now he doesn't look like a NHL player and looks out of place on the Kings lines due to his size.
