Hanzal to Buffalo

Sabres acquired Ott but he is a winger who takes faceoffs. If the Sabres could land Hanzal without giving up major pieces on their roster the could have a great lineup. So what

What about Armia, Pysyk/1st round pick and another piece be enough?

He's not, but it would take a lot to get him away from Tippett. Plus, you have to understand that the Hanzal love on the Sabres' board has taken on a life of its own over the last five months.

Phoenix needs Hanzal, a huge center that Tippett loves who has also committed long term to the team. No thanks.

Way too much. Pick one of those guys and a second round pick next year and the Sabres might be interested. Our last two first rounders and our next one simply isn't happening.

Might go as much as one of the prospects and a 1st next year IF Phoenix agrees to take Leino in the deal.

You don't get the Coyotes best center for just prospects. They are a team that was in the Western Conference Finals and are not looking to moving their best center let alone for strictly futures.

Just to humor you ...

Start with Girgensons, Stafford and Adam/Kaleta. This offer doesn't even do Hanzal's true value to the team justice. He brings so much more than what shows up on the score sheet and is needed to go up against the likes of Kopitar, Thorton and Getzlaf in the Pacific division.

No Coyotes fan (myself included) will be happy with anything short of massive overpayment. Plain and simple ... HANZAL IS NOT AVAILABLE.

We become far weaker down the middle without Hanzal. Yes, he's not on the level of Bergeron/Datsyuk on offense, but he's still our best center, a top-tier shutdown center that should be in the Selke discussion. He plays such an integral role for the Coyotes that I'd consider him to be more immovable than even Yandle.

You're gonna have to do a lot better than offer prospects for Hanzal.

Hanzal is the most important forward on the team besides Doan.

He's an excellent PKer, an amazing shut down center, a bruising physical presence and will be a selke nominee very soon. He's perhaps the most effective, pure shut down center in the western conference.

Hanzal is one of those guys whose value to us far outweighs what any other team should reasonably be offering for him. Fits our system perfectly, is greatly needed against the teams in our division, already wears a letter for us....

Hanzal, with a career high of 34 points, is PHX best C? I don't watch this team much, but is this serious?

Most important all around C. And yes, you'd have to watch the team to understand.

obviously you dont want hockey much. Guy is huge and matches up against some of the leagues most skilled and biggest centers. Just because hes not putting up crazy points doesnt mean his linemates arent either( whitney, vrbata).

As a Sabres fan, I'd overpay to get Hanzal.

Doubt he is ever moved though - and not even sure both teams are good trading partners.

I'll take your word on it, he just never has stood out to me as a player any team would identify as their best C.

Exactly, he is their best and most valuable forward. They aren't moving him, no way, unless it is a ridiculous offer...

Hanzal can take on the best centers in the league. His huge presence on the ice created space and opportunity for Whitney and Vrbata last year - both had monster years even with our defense-first system. And Hanzal is certainly capable of 40+ points provided he stays healthy.

Ask Joe Thornton, Ryan Getzlaf, Anze Kopitar, and Mike Ribeiro what they think of him.

Guy is a boa constrictor. Just chokes the offense right out of star centers.
