I respect your opinion. But I have to say, your stereotyping. Not all do this. I did not do this, and I know many who didn't either.
And no it wasn't because I couldn't find alcohol or an ugly repulsive teen
I'd say generalizing more than sterotyping.
A better way to say it would be that SOME kids will be drinking and having sex, and odds are very good that most kids are going to know that it's happening, even if they aren't participating.
IMO, If she's immature enough to talk about it at work and shes underrage, she most likely will be caught by their parents.
No need to get caught in the middle of it.
Or you can politely tell them not to discuss these matters at work as her being not of age might cause issues at work and therefore might distract those in the workplace. Gives her the idea that you aren't willing to throw her under the bus to her parents, but at the same time lets her know someone has the knowledge to inform the parents if these issues arise again.
So I have the daughter of one of managers who works for me. Said manager is very up front about the fact that she doesn't want her daughter getting into alcohol (or drugs).
I just over heard a conversation she had with another worker about how drunk she got last night and how she shouldn't have drank liquor after beer. (They didn't realize I could hear them from where I was)
Should I take this information to my manager?
Here are my worries if I do/don't
If I do and it gets to my crew that the information came from me I'm worried they either won't trust me or think I talk about every thing they talk about at work.
If I don't, I would feel I'm betraying one my managers. One who I highly trust. Also how would she feel if she ends up finding out and finds out I knew.
Yea, just pretend you never heard about it. No harm no foul
Also in the "don't say ****" camp. And, like PeeKay, I didn't drink or anything in high school. First alcohol was at 19; I'll leave everything else to your imagination.
Agree with everyone saying "don't say anything," McDermott. I don't think anyone find letting that slide as being dishonorable. It's another thing if it's apparent that she's getting too far into it or something, but yeah. If you're hearing it in a work environment, I think you can take a strictly professional methodology of handling it.
I never got those quotes. When I drink I usually do shots whilst drinking beer, and alternate between mixed drinks, shots, and beer.
The only time I ever got sick was when I started chuggin absolut straight from the bottle.
Have 3-6 (depending on tolerance/time) beers, then start doing shots 30-60 minutes later. If you really want to be adventurous, do it on an empty stomach.

Post results when finished.
I do this every weekend.
People act like there's some secret order to do it in, but it sounds to me like they just drank WAY too much.
