He only had 20 points last year, so I guess it's ok to dream.

I'll take things that will never happen for $200, Alex.

I like it, would LOVE Weber, depending on the price.

Now you get Gervais and Fedotenko.
There is no reason to hate this. We have our core team. Let's patch minor holes.
Yep. I am glad we didnt get Parise and/or Suter. 13 years of Suter for that much or 6 years of Carle at 5.5 - neither are worth it.
Thank about it - between Carle and Jagr, had we signed both - $11 M next year bw the two of them. Would rather patch holes here and there instead of spend all of our money on players who wanted to be grossly overpaid.

Fedetenko has scored 20 goals in a season once before in his career. If he puts up 20-25
points , I'll be more than happy.

He plays the penalty kill so I like the move. If you can get Giroux more time on 5v5 it makes this team better.

Only by the same logic as Leighton getting more than what teams could have had him for on waivers.

Two Slide contracts and 6 RFAs included in that though. While I think all RFAs will be resigned it's unlikely Mathers and Cousins play Pro hockey this year.

More good news is that Shelley is one roster spot closer to getting bumped.

There's no way homer stands pat. It still doesn't mean he won't do something stupid to get a wing for claude. I always like Rusty though. Got us the 4th overall pick in 2002.

Because the cap increased.
Anyways, I also would have preferred Winnik, but I can settle for Fedotenko. He's a decent utility guy for the fourth line who can piggy back on the third in case of injuries. Never been a fan of his, but it could have been much worse.

This was purely preventative, as a means to keep him from scoring on us. He'll be sent to the minors as retribution for his prior transgressions.

Defensively responsible grinders... yes please and thank you. Liking the term, not the cap-hit but oh well.

Would have preferred Winnik... but a 4th line, defensively responsible player who plays PK well is pretty decent.
